the MOST ANNOYING project.. Bmw e36 M3 LTW wing

This is part 1 of the annoying project. I bought this LTW wing locally and it needs a bunch of body work before it gets painted. Sanding, priming, body filler - make it stop!
Now i know why i wanted to just pay a body shop to take care of this for me.. 🤦‍♂️

im gonna try to paint it next week i think when i have off from work a couple days.. its been too cold out to paint in my garage

do you put filler on top of paint. I do all my body filler work before any primer goes on, then to really smooth it i shoot a gray primer that you can shoot pretty dry to get a good build up then sand it out and shoot again in places if needed then finally shoot a thin last primer layer and lightly sand then I start painting the top coats I usually do 3 top coats first round then let it cure a short time then wet sand and then usually 2 or 3 coats the second spraying and that's usually enough then I Waite about 20 min then shoot one last coat that's thined in half and shoot it really fast and wet. I put 2 different water Seperators in line on my spray line to ensure I don't have any moisture problems when shooting. you can use heat lamps to get a quicker cure but don't heat it too quick. I use acrylic enamel mostly that's what I am most familiar with. And i always put extra Hardner in it or the paint can scratch and even stain easy.

@@chrisdz there's always different ways to do things I like to see what others do so I can decide what I think will work best for me. like the dif drop I saw that other guy's vid 1st but then saw yours and you made it easier by removing that other bolt where the 1st guy fought it a long time. Thats what got me on here was to learn about different ways to do things, other than that I am not on social media I don't do face book twitter Instagram or any other social media stuff .

im definitely not the guy to learn for tricks for painting 😝 . i start the projects with good intentions, then start to lose interest 🤦‍♂️
