Yep great fighter. Ben obviously pays homage to Emanuel. With his height it’s even more impressive that he’s able to slip at close range like Emanuel. One important thing to note is that unlike Emanuel Ben has the power to knock fighters out.
A father that doesn't just tell you "you can be whatever you want", but honestly and bluntly tells you you're rubbish at something but better at the other is not only a father but an angel and true guardian. Honesty to their children is something parents together most learn.

its called "drunken master style" . as you can see in the video, that he comes from light heavy weight where dodging and fighting fast is usual. Some fighters mock/insult his opponent in interviews to get in their head, other do this while fighting and some try to clown the enemy infight to make him angry and when youre angry you make mistakes. its all part of the show and his fighting style. i personally think arrogant dodging is not that disrespectful, cause its part of the game. its a high risk/reward technique, cause when it works your enemy looks like an idiot and cant focus, but when it dont youre be knocked out pretty fast. even muhammed ali did this in some fights, just dont underestimate your enemy. if you see he's slower or tired and you mock him with dodging, he will lose focus and lose.

Emanuel Augustus lasted. Didn't particluarly care if he got knocked out. I'm not suggesting Whittaker is Augustus. Nobody is. But it ISN'T impossible to keep the style. We'll know more about Ben after he gets rocked for the first time.
@ggrthemostgodless8713Ай бұрын
@@solidXxXtuna Right... but remember the exception doesn't void the rule. And you ARE suggesting he is Augustus, he is not. That is what analogies do, they suggest things are SIMILAR. To say something is NOT impossible is not saying that is LIKELY probable... it is NOT likely probable. Still, I hope he lasts, like I said, I like his style; it is just too common for these type of fighters to last long, in fact he has ALREADY lasted longer than most. Once you get that reality check, which so far has happened to the very BEST in history, you return PRETENDING it didn't adjust your mind to reality, but we all can se it did, this is so in this fighting, boxing, even golf... and of course in streets fighting, the bad ass of the BLOCK has to constantly prove he is the boss, and of course he is not.

He's honestly not even THAT arrogant. It's his style, and somewhat of an act. It's super effective. It's so ridiculously unorthodox that it accomplishes several things all at once. 1. It throws his opponents for a loop. They have no idea where the punch is coming from, so he rattles their defense. 2. It causes his adversaries to get extremely frustrated, losing concentration. 3. It's extremely hard to train against because, again, it's so weird and non-traditional. 4. Missing punches tires out fighters very quickly.

Time giving they’d tire from the ring shenanigans and begin booing because of lack of real competition. It doesn’t have to be now, but sooner than to late. I wish him the best. He might have talent and also successes in fights. However, such behaviour should not be embraced or rewarded and is disgraceful of the whole sport. "Sport" doesn't only mean being a good athlete, it also means being a "sportsman" and showing respect to contenders, opponents, and the sport itself.

for sure, hes trying to make his opponents look foolish, thats no respect.

Jesus Christ! He's putting on a show, being entertaining. Getting his name out there. The more popular your brand the more money you make. Importantly he always shows respect to all his opponents after the show is over. None of his opponents say otherwise after the fights. You guys are more sensitive then a old peach.

This is ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION. Every sport has a style and ironically most boxers talk shit outside the ring which is worse in my opinion

I’ve always wondered how hard this guy hits for fighters to not want to come into range and hit him while he’s clowning them.

I hate fighters like him. I love his ability and potential but I cannot stand his showboating. Can't wait for a proper decent opponent to humble him.

humility is overrated i find it refreshing when someone knows they’re better than someone and acts accordingly 🤷🏾♂️😂

@@purodeathcore I agree to some extend. This guy is half baiting half doing straight illegal move. It's ok to taunt for the show but backslap, grappling is simply forbidden in boxe. No reward for being dumb in my mind. He needs to grow up a little still but great fighter obviously.

@@xXDoUbLeDDXx38 nothing wrong with being a purist. It is a fight after all not Britains got talent. If Ben Whittaker wants to dance so much then maybe he should be a backup dancer.
