That's literally not possible. If you don't purge people long enough game starts purging them automatically. Purging least amount of people is possible if you rush the purge tree but then you purge the mandatory ones in historical great purge events.

The Spanish Civil War is the most unfun experience ive had in this game, i get what they were going for, they wanted it to be a long conflict that lasted years like it did irl but they seemingly didn't think about if this would be good for a video game setting and so to make sure it lasts a long time they gave every single damn state a unplanned offensive modifier that slows everything down to a crawl, a mechanic that literally doesn't exist anywhere else in the game. And then even when you do win the civil war, you now have to simulate the rebuilding by having to recore everything again.

Wtf are the guys above on about, it's an unfunny mechanic that requires time, loads of guns AND pp to just have the benefits of having your own country back. No one else have to go through this after their own civil wars, it's just a mechanic to keep spain occupied and away from WW2. The unplanned offensive debuff is there to try and slow down the volunteer meta.

Could you refresh your achievement guides, specifically Miklos Horthy and the Habsburg Prince, because a lot of the guides are now outdated since the release of NSB, the intel system changed so your guide doesnt work anymore.

Strategy(IT Will involve cheesing) :you Will have to pick beaten and not defeated focus , don't pick anything that gives party popularity to fascism or neutrality( literal nothing), delete all units besides NKVD, wait for Stalin to trigger The civil war as fast as possible, after The civil war Traian a lot of cav div and rush to Defeat Stalin, afer that ban comunism and fascism, notice that you Will have more than 50 % for democratic party and you Will be a le to swich

@@LetsAMP yes 2 years ago and i dont think so that it is still working. there were a lot of changes with NSB. alone the naval invasion from the beginning would not work so good, because the AI is guarding them for sure. Also paratroopers wont work like they did. victory points also guarded.

I mean mods are still generally speaking the same premise/mechanics at the end of the day. There are some mods that do things slightly differently but the end formula stays the same. I personally always find myself coming back to vanilla hoi4. I have 1400hours of playtime mind you so maybe this will change with further play time but something about the deep knowledge and predictable nature makes it easier to make my own challenges and do fun things. Sometimes I will will do none Ironman and mess around with console commands like for example I did my own personal he’ll kind of challenge where I gave Germany cores on just about all of Western Europe and gave them a super industry then went back to play as the US to try and do a much harder dday against a super charged German reich.

Excellent idea! I tried that and managed to keep Italy in Ethiopia until end of 38. Hint: make a lot of small divisions (only number of division counts when sending expeditionary forces). I sent 14 armor units and 16 mount./inf. to UK and France and bombers. Anihillated Germany before Japan attacked Philippines. So much fun!
