Fun Fact: Johnny Cage had a bug with his X-Ray on release. If you held both block stance change and down for the entire xray then after it finished and you blocked a non projectile attack while still holding the buttons you would activate your xray for no bar.

i also remember that johnny had one of the only xrays you could combo OFF of in the game? you can shadow kick and cancel into shadow kick AGAIN after his xray. maybe i remember that a bit incorrectly but if you could input it fast enough it was pretty dumb and no one i played against expected it and were always confused as hell

Quan chis rune infinite. Player 1 always wins trades. Cyrax resets. Swiss army kabal with dash cancel. Smoke resets. Armored launchers (sonya you bitch). Scorpion unblockable hellfire forcing you to jump into full teleport combo. Kitana air fans you can't break out of. Johnny frame traps. 50/50s. No frame data. AND STILL the MOST fun mk I've ever played to this day and hails as my favorite video game. It has the foundation for a truly skill based fighting game that gives the elite a chance to shine.

@@Kn1ghtborne then likely you were playing a lot of scrubs. I had to play with one of the best cages that played the game in Frank "Showtime" Occhione. It was brutal at times. Any Cage that knew how to abuse f3 online was hard to beat though. Of course I beat the majority of them by playing keep away and whiff punishing with sindel 44. Once they got in they would abuse her high hitbox and bad poke game pretty annoyingly due to online lag.

you're probably just spacing it out. the frame data shown in the game is worse case. the farther a move makes contact the better the block adv. will be because of it making contact on a later active frame. what reo is showing is a legit bug because there's no difference in the spacing and the block adv is drastically better.

Actually the f111 framtrap into the f3 will always be in Cage's favor if hes p1. Since the game has player 1 frameadvantage. Sindel would need a 5f move or faster to beat it.

There's something I want to point out ,in mk11 the normal hits look so clunky in addition they have put some weird sparks for normal attacks and for blocking huge white annoying sparks that make th game looked so hard to have a sf vibe or tekken vibe that for me is one most of the annoying things, back in mk trilogy you could choose no blood, now in mk 11 I want no sparks special effects

Some characters like Kabal and Kenshi did. It was better to play a zoner against Cage because he was so oppressive up close.

It wasn't super prevalent but it did exist. Sonya's cartwheel kick and Kabal's cancelled dash were safe. Kenshi's armored Shoulder was actually plus for some reason. Most armored attacks were very punishable though. But there was another problem, the meter drain glitch. Sometimes when you tried to armor out of a frame trap, you'd end up being stuck in block stun and the move would not come out but you would still use the meter.
