@Francisco Delgado Ruíz nah, mkx Sonya was fair. She was the pressure queen but her combos were kinda weak unless you had xray. Her covert ops stance was okay but punishable and it had exploitable gaps, you just couldn't block all day on her and think you were gonna win. Mk11 is hard to open people and it's a footsie heavy game.

@Francisco Delgado Ruíz I used demolition Sonya. That's her best one and I mentioned it if you understood the reference. She was a monster in the corner but she didn't have strong combos. If she lost her meter and her bombs, she was trash. Her hard knock down wasn't that good, you'd still lose your turn sometimes for calling in more bombs. You do remember they nerfed her? I used to use the same techniques as Scar. However, there were big patches in mkx and close to end of its popularity, a lot of people became gods at the game. I'm honestly more scared of Tremor and Shinnok or Ermac. I also had a nasty grandmaster sub and balanced Kenshi (the zoning king).

It even parries projectiles. I once dashed up to a guy that tried to end the match with a projectile, I did it in his face and when Johnny deflected it, his hands hit him. I finished with that 50% combo, jumped 1 into grab and won. It was a broken ass parry

I remember playing an online Johnny who would save all his meter for this x-ray and use it as soon as I got any advantage. I only realized by the final round and we were both 1 pixel away from death. I call out the counter in my head after getting a knockdown (or maybe it was just after a combo in the corner. I don't remember the details) and I thought "I'll totally throw him out of it. Counters don't work on throws" He recovers and I try to throw as soon as he spends the meter.........I'm still kicking myself to this day.

people complaining how Sonya was broken, but Johnny had plus frames after plus frames, you couldn't even armour because he'd already pull out his f3 before you recover from blocking. At least Sonya required a special cancel for her pressure and you could backdash or poke out, if well-timed.

Uhhh.... what about Sonya and Cyber Sub-Zero Triborg in MKX? There X-Rays were parry based X-Rays too. Any attack would get parried by them because they are X-Rays, and if you did an X-Ray yourself, you would've get caught. And in Sonya's case, she could've combo off her X-Ray, just like Johnny. And in Cyber Sub's case, he could've hold it and delay, and then cancel out of it while they were frozen for a free hit.

I remember back in it's hayday I had a friend of mine I'd always play MK9 with. He was pretty good he practiced for quite a long time and eventually kicked my ass, but before we got to that point I used to body him. There was one game I'll never forget because I hadn't practiced it and didn't even know it was possible... I was playing Johnny and he was using his Scorpion, we both had full meter and pretty much no health left. He wasn't coming near me because... Well he has no fuckin health and I'm Johnny Cage lmao. He wouldn't dare teleport because he knew he wouldn't survive doing that. I guess he assumed that due to the armor he'd be able to tank through anything I did if he used his X-ray on wake-up, but on reaction I used my X-ray and to both of our Suprise, Johnny could parry that too. I ended the X-ray with a shadow kick and took the match. He messaged me later saying, "I didn't even know he could do that."
