I finally got around to trying out this load (using the green wad). It was surprisingly accurate at 25 yards out of my KSG. 5 shot group in 1 ragged hole. Magnetospeed claimed 1207 f/s avg.
@taofledermaus2 жыл бұрын
What!? you never shot them before?!!? Or just with the shorter wads?
@psykoklown8742 жыл бұрын
@@taofledermaus Just this particular load. I'd tried 25.0gn Longshot and some loads using Alliant Steel but was more interested in the 5 and 6 petal versions until I saw this video. Then life issues got in the way of me doing much of anything.

@@psykoklown874 These 3 petal ones really stood out over the ones with more petals.
@psykoklown8742 жыл бұрын
@@taofledermaus I see that now. My mindset before was "more petals = more better". Sometimes less is more.

@@taofledermaus I tested this load in 2: hulls. The FS12 added 90 f/s avg over the BRP-12 in a 2-3/4" hull. Accuracy was ok but not quite as good, though that could have been me. I tried my usual load with the 26 gram Shot-mini, but with the FS12 in a 2" hull, and it also added about 90 f/s, and it threw accuracy way off. I'll have to try reworking the powder charge to ~1260 f/s like my usual load.

That looks like it would sting a bit lol - that gummy bear 🐻 omg it didn’t know which way to go it was hit so hard ! Bet that pork is tender … if you can find any of it . Great job to the creator !! Thanks for all the fun treating you guys do. I want some of these

The damage this slug did to the pork shoulder has me picturing it stopping a charging moose in its tracks. Jeff suggested it would be a good home defense round. Probably so, if your home is ever invaded by a bear or an alligator or any hoofed critter.

I like to have a little more than this for home defense. You're gonna make a mess anyway, so might as well do it right.

As an avid sporting clays shooter and reloader in my younger years i have always thought about exotic 12 gauge rounds - these rounds are an aggressive tactical ammo sabot . I thought of the mini rounds using shot powder with more kick . I still have some old paper casings from way back
