I had to laugh when you said the Lakers were shooting nearly perfect, thats the reason I figured the Nuggets would come back because they shot terribly in the 1st half and were due to hit stuff eventually. It's not just the Jokic Murray Pick and Roll that's the issue. KCP or MPJ usually are hitting open 3s, and like we saw on that lob in game one AG is prowling the base line waiting for someone to over play so he can get an easy dunk. Their spacing, and chemistry is ridiculous.

Bron shooting that 3 was an interesting choice. I know he had just hit 2 earlier in that quarter, and it was a chance to put the nail in the coffin. But he could have drained the clock more and should have gotten downhill. Murray is such a beast in the clutch, what a dope game winner!

LeBron's 3 miss wasn't so bad because he missed it (well, I mean it was), but it's that he had 11 seconds on the shot clock and 17 on the game clock. He could have used that fallen defender as a clear lane to drive the paint for a high percentage shot. That would also have eaten a few seconds off the clock, thus giving Denver far less than the 13 sec they had to come up with an answer. But, Mr I-Always-Make-The-Right-Play really did cost his team this game right at the end.

This is coming from a Nuggets fan who remembers and experienced the days of Issel, Thompson, English, Lever, VanDeWeghe, Hanzlik and even Dave Roebische, of whom I said one night "Roebische , is the best Nuggets player the Lakers ever had." Meh. Easy for me to say then, but much harder to do, and I've played against a few NBA players myself. I was wrong flat out wrong. It wasn't easy to play at the top level even then and would be quite impossible against these guys today. So I can't fault the Lakers for coming up on the wrong end of it. They DID have a chance.

@Davivd29 ай бұрын
Most clutch team ever? No.That's the early 2000's Lakers. Big shot Bob, Fisher, Fox, Shaw and Kobe. I don't disagree with the Nuggets being the best clutch team in the league today. But this playoff series loss (and the Lakers will lose) is managements fault. The Lakers only beat Denver in 2020 because Dwight Howard was strong and got physical with Jokic. This is how you slow Jokic down. For whatever reason, the Lakers refuse to get a legitimate center and force AD into the role. The Lakers signed throw aways Jaxson Hayes and Christian Wood as their back up center. AD is a better defender as a help defender. He doesn't like to play big centers. Jokic likes to bang. I don't care how great you think AD is at defense, he's simply a better help defender when he isn't having to bang his body against someone who outweighs him by 30 pounds. The Lakers just needed a big body to keep Jokic from banging his way to the basket or at least slow that down so that AD could come over and block the shot or play the passing lanes. That's where AD is the best defender in the league. As a help defender, who can rim protect and play passing lanes as a power forward. Not as a center, trying to bang it out against a guy who is in another weight class. I hate to say it, but this was more a loss by the Lakers management in the off season than a win for the Nuggets. Just one legitimate big man on the roster is all that it would have taken to give the Lakers a shot. Also, because I know how you NBA know it all's think, I'm a 33 year long Laker fan. But truth is truth and the Lakers are going home early this year.
