The thing I like about all these types of reaction videos is this: *context.* Sure, other Smash players might know the context as well, but Zero having been so deeply involved in the competitive scene himself and knowing many of these people and how they act, allows these reactions to have unique insight that just watching a video of controversial Smash moments won’t give you. Thank you for your reactions and educating me on not just the habits of certain players, but various rule sets and other things. I’ve followed Smash for around 5 years and I still learn a thing or two every time I watch one of these videos. Edit: seeing as hardly no one knew what ZeRo was involved in when I first made this comment, I don’t regret the above statements. I still think that overall, ZeRo was a content creator who was trying to influence the community for good, at least from a general public perspective. It’s really sad when someone who you used to enjoy watching is now considered a criminal/outcast, especially when almost no one saw it coming until all was revealed. I don’t know at the moment if ZeRo will ever even try to return ever... but if he ever does, I ask that each of us carefully consider how to respond. I believe God gives people the ability to repent and forsake their past lifestyles. It’s hard to say if ZeRo will have tried to do that, or if it would be a facade, or if he would even try to return at all... but I would ask that, if ZeRo does come back, asking for forgiveness and promising change, you be willing to ask God how He would want you to treat ZeRo. I can’t know if ZeRo will have tried to change and should be given a second chance, or if we should keep him separated from the community forever. But try not to let your initial emotions impact your permanent decisions. Be safe everyone. Let’s make the Smash community a better place then it ever has before... and God be with you amidst your trials.

@@Nothingsince97 Not sure what happened to Lima. Ally retired from Smash, Zack went on to play Ultimate but is wholly unremarkable as a player, still arrogant and immature about his skill level. @6:17 I actually agree with the decision to state both players used a coach, since even though it was a joke, the one guy coming on stage to give "coaching" which only to irritate Hungrybox still should be discouraged as other players could potentially use a "joke" coach to actually give coaching. Just saying, the rule was not to have a coach give advice during the matches after pools and even though the guy looks not to have given coaching, a similar situation of seemingly "joke" coaching could be real coaching.

Its so heart breaking seeing the person you looked up to and have been following for years in this light. The day and night difference between how people were before and after this situation just reminds me even more how serious this shit is. ZeRo, you didn't fuck up as bad as Nairo or Keitaro but you still did something that I just can't forgive. I hope you reflect on all of this. I believed in you all this time, but now Idk what to believe anymore, and that goes from anybody in the smash community. These situations highlighted popular figureheads in the Smash community, but the fact that this issue is so widespread leads me to believe that you guys only make up a small percentage of the atrocities that go on. Its been a good run, but sadly I just can't agree with any of it...

I don't even follow competitive Smash but I was fully aware of the Smash 4 Evo finals controversy after it happened. Watching it was painful with the added context that this was the games final year. It went out not with a bang, but with boo's and a bitter taste. It was a disrespectful farce that shouldn't have been tolerated 1 little bit. Whether it's Smash or any other fighter, people agonize over being good enough to make it at Evo. Smashed controllers, tears, months if not years of training goes into it. Then you have these two, the final competitors who have made it to the end, stomping all over it. I feel bad for all the competitors who tried so hard and didn't make it, only to be subjected to watching this joke of a finals. On a brighter note, thankyou Zero for making these videos. You're essentially my only peephole into the competitive Smash community anymore. Keep it up!
@vDeadbolt4 жыл бұрын
The issue was that the crowd has the right to show their displeasure by booing or leaving. They are showing their investment. People can boo because they can. You can't blame the crowd for what the bayo players have done. Even if they had to go through trials and tribulations, it doesn't stop people from showing their displeasure. Tom Brady went from being the 199th pick in the 2000 NFL draft from being the best Quarterback in the NFL. Brady had to fight for the backup position despite the fact that no one had faith in him. When the previous quarterback suffered a season ending injury, Brady has to take over. As soon as he took over, everyone thought that the patriots franchise was doomed. Brady had to lead his team to their first superbowl win in his first year as a starter. He pretty much saved a franchise. Even though brady fought tooth and nail, people hate him. The patriots are one of the most hated NFL teams besides the cowboys because Brady keeps winning. He gets booed to oblivion. Even with that, you don't see brady throw a tantrum because people are booing him.
@Beelz554 жыл бұрын
@@vDeadbolt Oh sorry I think you misunderstood my message. I meant that the two players were the farce and ruined it for every other competitor. I fully support the crowds boo's. I think it's awful the final year of Smash 4 at Evo was ultimately the worst year because 2 players decided to make a mockery of what is suppose to be a big deal.
