Thanks for your story my own journey out of being an alcoholic for about 10yrs wasn't through AA meetings although I did attend a few meetings, but it was through my reading the bible, and coming across a passage that made me think, that drunnkarss won't make it to heaven, at that time, I took my addiction more seriously but didn't quit right away, ìt did however start a process in my heart, finally I did stop after having my last drink at a friend's place, I believe and know God worked in that moment, and I have been sober for over 8yrs

Are there any statistics on loved ones of addicts that commit suicide? My son has been on and off opioids for over a decade. I am the only support he has. His dad is a raging useless alcoholic and his older brother will not be involved at all. I don't feel like I can do this anymore

It's understandable, if possible keep watching these videos, there is a path to sanity and sobriety. Also, make sure you are taking care of you, we all can get worn out. Self care is essential.🦋

Look for your local 12 step meetings. Once you find that, then they will help you find any Al-Anon meetings. Those are meetings specifically for those that love an addict/alcoholic.

Get help. There should be groups near you or even NA meetings or AA meetings. Worst case go to hospital. If you are feeling suicidal than you need help now!!! I felt that way in 08 and only by the Grace of God am I alive. I shouldn't be. What I now know is that I have to take care of myself first because when you try to help a drowning man, the end result is 2 dead men. PLEASE GET HELP!!! I am going through the same thing with my 22 yr old son. He is in 3rd week of treatment due to relapse on Fentanyl. My stepson died 4 years ago from Fentanyl. Hang in there and if you want to talk then let me know and I will give you my number

I was sitting on edge waiting to hear his sentence. I think this is insane .i know from others how horrible that cell of hell is he didnt go into details about. In all fairness i dont think he should went through this because he was set up. I understand the part that he said he had been on prescription meds all his life ,Drs put people on very addictive meds that leads to other things. its so true they will see who cares when they are not useful to so calked friends. I see so much wrong from people's pain how the system is not helping addicts. Im happy he now has a life to enjoy..

I see so many wounds from his trauma needs healing. He went through a lot at young age .a persons brain is not developed fully till she 25 expecially in the decision making choices. I'm happy he has turned his pain into helping others. I'm a little confused in this story mostly because I feel like he's covering his pain where he needs healing from trauma .

There are lots of paths to sobriety. Unfortunately, most of them involve death. For the few that work, there are two things in common. First, is having the gift of desperation. Second is having the gift of willingness.The willingness to take action. NOTHING will change without those two ingredients. Period. End of story. Full stop! Live differently, or die. Those are our only options.
