Liu Bei keep change his loyalty to fight his enemy. allied with lu Bu to fight yuan Shu then then allied with Wei his sworn enemy to defeat lu Bu 2. Both guan yu and Zhang Fei despised Zhao Yun and Huang Zheng as part of tiger general at first. 3. Guan yu death practically zhuge liang, Liu Bei son, and guan yu own fault. They promised Wu to give some land to WU if they help Shu fighting against Wei but not keep their promise instead putting Guan yu on that land. 4. Guan Yu is a prick at his end. He mocking WU princess when they offer marriage to one of guan Yu son. He say "you wanna son of dragon married to a dog !". Lmao. Liu Bei wife is literally WU princess. 5. Ma cao committed genocide. 6. Liu Bei son selling Shu to Wei (Jin) 7. Zhang Fei kidnapping children and force himself 8. The last loyal Shu general is named Jiang WEI ! WEI ! A former enemy general. 9. After Guan yu death, Liu Bei attacking Wu ignoring zhuge liang warning. He die blinded by vengeance. Not so much benevolence now...huh... 10. Zhang Fei treat his own man so worst that they betray him and allied with WEI.

whether or not origins is going to be the official DW10 or just a spinoff, they need to bring back the proper English dub team now that the strike is over, with the only exception that Zhang Liao gets his DW8 voice and not his DW8XL voice. I think a lot of the cringe moments from 9 could have been fixed with VAs that were paid more than a ham sandwich

The Xiahouji case though, it is recorded that she was caught by Zhang Fei when she was around 13-14 (year 200). So she was indeed a child. The birthyear of Zhang Fei is unknown, but he's a bit younger than Liu Bei (born in 161). So in year 200, Zhang Fei should be in his mid-30s. The important thing is, marrying a 14yo girl back then WAS NORMAL. So yes, the interactions are cringe, but you can stop criticizing Zhang Fei being a pedo. It is also KT's fault to have only one form per character so we have to look at a grown up Xing Cai talking to a child Xiahouji. Good thing the age forms were implemented in SWSoS and SW5, so hopefully it will return in Origins.

I understand this might be a personal list but man I cant look past the irony presented here. 1. You're really going to Xu Zhu's cringe level over Zhang He's? Really...? 2. Yeah I don't like Xiahouji's design either but how do you not point that out with the Qiao sister's design as well? Lastly, The choice of the Head pat scene I can somewhat understand why but even I think it isn't that questionable. Especially given that Japanese women actually like head pats especially since koei is a Japanese game company it's mostly in reference to that fact despite the the characters being Chinese overall. Xu Zhu may have some cringe moments, but the scene in DW7 where he teaches Dian Wei how to farm is pretty heartwarming. It shows a rare moment of cameraderie amongst the men of Wei, yet it's also in hindsight kind of heartbreaking as they depict the two as friends in the game and Dian Wei ends up dying a stage or two after that scene.

As for Xiahouji and the Qiaos, I don’t mind their designs overall, especially since the game takes place over several decades. Honestly, I would however portray Xiahouji as someone torn between Wei and Shu. Wei because of the fact that it's her family, while with Shu, she has Zhang Fei. I don’t mind the game taking liberties because it shouldn't be limited to reality. That's why I hated the fact that they used Clone Weapons in 6 and 9. They could probably have done something that makes her look younger than Yue Ying but older than the Qiaos.

Xu Zhu was really depicted in a way unjust to him. And DW9 voice acting in english is abhorrent (to be polite). I had to play with japanese dub to be able to go through the game, what was already a letdown as DW6 was for me

I just absolutely hate all these child like loli characters, its so gross. Like the Qiao sisters have to go, even when I was 9 and played DW5 I was like this is really weird. Like no reason to be acting like that. Screw the “but in history they were actually young”, 16&17 year olds don’t act like their 7.
