He can try to use audio cues to get through but he might be enticed to trust some people in his chat. I feel like this could be beautiful.

Coney should do a fake blind run where he’s wearing a blindfold he can see through, then just middle of the run pulls down the blindfold, goes 👀 at the screen for a solid 3 seconds, then just pulls it back up.

The best part is that Joey Millie in chat very clearly seems to be a bot, or at _least_ someone copy-pasting stuff into chat without paying attention. Throughout even just this video you can see Joey posting identical messages at random times (primarily "holy fuck james you're so good at blindfolded" or "oh my god how are you doing this"), any time chat slows down a bit he just asks "what's poppin james" (which seems comically ineffective to ask a blindfolded streamer how they're doing), at one point they literally just say "complament" apropos of nothing as if the auto-message system broke, and then Joey does the typical "holy fuck james you're so good how are you doing this" message _during the ending_ long after the streamer has relinquished control of the game.

17:29 this has actually happened in Hollow Knight’s speed running community. Doing Pantheon 5, a 45-boss gauntlet, without taking damage is easily the most impressive challenge run you can do, but a respected member of the community decided to turn on cheats that just made him invincible and there was a big controversy when people found out.

Yeah it was tough since cotton was really good and it was hard to see the hits due to them being so close to actually doing it. It just feels bad that someone that talented felt the need to do it.

A lot of times cheaters are people that are more than capable of doing it legitimately, but they've probably spent countless hours grinding out runs trying to do it, and whether it be due to frustrating RNG or requiring nearly inhuman execution, they give up and go "fuck it, I've earned it at this point" and cheat.

This guy also blatantly read the chat when he was questioned about bowser throws and when he went on his humongous explanation and kept bowser there forever, as if this run wasn't dishonest enough.

There's certain parts cut out of the video, like when he goes back to Bowser 1 about what the cheater said about Bowser isn't in the early part of the video. And also when he answers the people about the Save File or Bowser throws, the person who recorded this run left out a few of those Text to Speech messages by accident guess, but yeah he's not reading chat, he's just answering the audio voice messages that have been cut from the video. Also you never see him get all 16 Stars in the video shown, but yeah he obviously does for his challenge to be finished at the end of the video.

Depending on the fabric the blindfold is made of, they can actually be made to be sort of transparent. It's possible for him to be able to see through it despite it completely covering his eyes if its the right fabric. That's why you might hear about blindfolded runners wearing multiple blindfolds, as they overlap and mitigate the effect even if it were transparent.
