The Most Disgusting (and Funniest) Sonic Game Ever Made

You bashing Forces while venerating Adventure 2 made me angry enough to write down my opinions on both in great detail: 06 in released from is better than Adventure 2 because while the game isn't (very) buggy the Sonic levels in it both control and are designed horribly, and the entire Hero part of the story is an incredibly rushed mess. I won't call Adventure 2 a bad game but it's definitely one of the worst in the series, just above Colours and below Mania, only because the characters who aren't Sonic have some good stages and the Dark story is good. (Yes Mania isn't very good but it's not about it right now) Pretty much every "mid" Sonic game is better than the popular ones, including 1 and CD being better than 2 and 3, with the only games which are both good and popular being Adventure 1 and Generations. I know art is subjective and all but if you simply regurgitate the popular opinions, ones which are usually incorrect not only about Sonic but even historical events and ethics because the idiots always scream the loudest, I will have a hard time believing that it is your genuine opinion and not something you repeat after others. As for Forces, it's honestly better than Frontiers, another overrated mess. It has worse story than Adventure 2 but I still quite enjoyed the Avatar's character arc and Shadow and Silver getting to do something for once. As someone who grew up with Shadow the hedgehog I love the return of guns and the Westopolis remix, plus along with Generations and Team Racing it's the only game to reference the superior US CD soundtrack, but sadly the same track in all three. The level design may be WAY too short but it's still more challenging than Generations, and if you collect all the red rings you get to the hard parts of the game: challenge stages and moon medals. Moon medals appear on stages you 100% and once you pick up one the rest will soon disappear so you have limited time to collect them, which is often very hard. You need to explore the stage to find them, often in a hidden area or out of the way hidden path, and then display your skills by getting them on time. Challenge levels of any difficulty are unlocked by collection of the red rings, and while themselves they are a decent challenge the best and hardest part about them are the missions, like beating the stage you get after collecting 100 red rings in 45 seconds without cheating by using Super Sonic dlc is really hard, like REALLY hard. Missions reward you with clothes for your avatar, and just like with Chao Gardens in Adventure games I almost spent more time designing clothes than playing the levels. Almost. For slippery controls I actually find them WAY better than the stiff controls of Adventure 2 which make the Sonic levels of that game not fun for me. Art is subjective. Most people who played Forces 'till credits rolled haven't actually played the game, only scratched the surface. In Frontiers on the other hand the surface IS all there is to it outside of boosting off rails. I think Forces has the best final boss of the franchise, from the music to the visuals to the multiple phases, but other people don't agree because art is subjective. It may be a repeat of the Colours final boss but it's WAY better in every way, just like the game itself. Sonic Shorts is in the same boat as Dragon Ball Abridged and Yu-gi-oh abridged - an awful unfunny piece of garbage which is inexplicably popular, but again art is subjective. Hellsing and Sword Art Online are the two good abridged series I can think of, and I guess that one episode of Code Ment with the soup store. I know Sonic shorts isn't an abridged series, it's just awful for the same reasons. Basically from my perspective you don't like anything good about Sonic and you like everything bad, like most of the internet, which is fine of course, entertainment is not a big enough deal to hate people for and art is subjective, but I don't intend to stick around to listen to more of your awful takes. I would if I could convince you how good Forces was but I know I can't so I'll just leave. Don't care a bit about Dream Collection in either positive or negative light. I don't like the fact it makes fun of the fanbase but I also don't like the fanbase, so I don't care about it in any way in the end. It's a better parody than Shorts, that's for sure, and somehow less disgusting. I'd rather Big be in a womb than hanging from his fishing pole. S*icide jokes? Seriously? All I want from the franchise is Sonic 4 episode 3. 1 was good outside the final boss and 2 wad FANTASTIC, way better than Mania or Superstars, especially in terms of bosses. Why does Episode 2 look better than Superstars I honestly don't understand, but just compare the backgrounds and you'll see it really does. I won't pretend I think episode 1 looks good, but I really like the level design and appreciate the lack of momentum. I don't like Sonic spending all the time as a ball, and I don't enjoy not being able to walk up a small hill, so I'd rather Sonic drop the momentum thing. I am getting Shadow the hedgehog 2 this year so despite not getting Episode 3 I am currently very happy with the franchise. Other developers abandon games which aren't popular, but not Sonic Team. They put an 06 stage in Generations and referenced Shadow the hedgehog in both Forces and Shadow Generations, and I absolutely love them for it. It's hard to be a Devil May Cry 2 fan, no rep in 5 at all, but it's not hard to be a Shadow the hedgehog fan. 2000s edge will never die!

Dreams Collection lives up to its name, as I am convinced that one of the devs had an actual nightmare about the Sonic fandom and decided to make it.
