King moving up the board in the open when the opponent has a Queen & rook is the most difficult move IMO. I saw the pawn push however to see that the king isn’t in danger even when so exposed is just incredibly amusing when you come across it. I always rewind the line “ What sorcery is this?” , when such moves are possible…

Today Vaishali wins for the third time in a row. This is probably the first tournament where she plays so well and consistently against 2600+ players. She's the leader now, so if she kept it up until the end of the tournament and won, would she play the Masters next time?

Sure, when you know you have to look for a winning sequence, I think that in the calmness of their house any player above 1700 classical would find the correct move(s). The "disgusting" line shown by the engine isn't for the first move by black I calculated, but it was exhilarating once you see it. Good thing I remembered that white is already up a pawn and I was looking for tactics like that

1:51 personally, before white castles. Take the d5 pawn...2 defenders, 3 attackers...new, nd5, nd5, then....queens? no, bd5 then anchor it with e4. In the end white has a passed pawn in the middle. It will be solo, but does not need to hurry. A white d5 pawn....fun.

@schwindsichtigaderechte52935 ай бұрын
@@Ojas97 I actually figured it out. The Queen-move was the hardest one to find for me. I'm mostly self-taught, so ever since I learned about the value of the pieces, like so many others I developed the bad habit to trade and go into the seemingly less complicated endgame instead of looking for tactics and complicating the position. Therefore, I still mostly get beaten during the middle game, but if I can push through my endgame is not too shabby. But I don't think I could pull something like that out of the hat on a regular basis.😅

The thing is to play the first move (the pawn push) you have to have calculated the queen sac, otherwise you won't play e6 in the first place as it looks like suicide. Nobody puts their king into that kind of dark tunnel unless they can clearly see the light at the end (or are totally blind to the dangers).
