The nexpo video is currently taken down. Not sure why this happened. But I wanted everyone to know please support the original creator of this video. i am assuming it has to do with copyright or something dumb like that.

The problem with Sesseur lying about 'making' Jeff the killer is that he has made money from merchandise and threatened to sue people over it, he's essentially a scammer. Nexpo calling out the fact he's lying is pretty important because to this day people automatically believe him and continue to pay him money for something he *didn't* create

El Reno tornado was a behemoth! I am not from a country that has these types of tornadoes, but when I first saw the footage of the one from El Reno I couldn't believe it was true. I recommend Pecos Hank's video on it (even the whole channel, he's very professional and isn't yelling all the time unlike other storm chasers), he also mentions the sad case of the Twistex crew.

when I was like 19, I was helping my bf at the time in his backyard with gardening while barefoot. It went from sunny to stormy clouds in the distance to us being hit by a tornado in, like, 30secs flat. And because we were in the nyc suburbs, I had never anticipated being in a tornado. I had to run in a zig-zag over broken glass & sh*t (once again: barefoot), trying to avoid tree limbs crashing down around me and looking for an open door to his house. Pure fight-or-flight. Then, just as quickly, it was done. For like 1yr after, any time I saw storm clouds, I'd panic. Edit: dang just learned it was an F2 tornado, too

The footage was originally taken down because you could see the headlights being lifted and then disappear. It was put back up, but that piece was cut in respect to the families. What that tornado did by instantly switching directions has, I think, only been recorded one other time in history that we know of. It hasnt happened since that 2013 tornado. Nobody was expecting it to happen. Twistex made the wrong decision of following their friends truck at the last minute. They had the car that day because the original vehicle they always used was in the shop. Thats what I heard. The guy in the truck barely outran that tornado. He had a hard time staying on that dirt road and ABS kept turning on and he said he kept having to turn it off because it was slowing him down. He knew they were behind him, too. But...yeah.

as someone who did the misstake recently of watching the video of the women the reddit post mentioned, its not from that video (the video the post mentions is the video of the academy maniacs that got them caught), but i dont doubt the image being a dead body, its so uniform and the entire body seems rigid
@trithedoge82058 ай бұрын
Nexpo is wrong about the Dan Robinson footage being the last remaining public footage of Twistex, there was another group who turned onto Reuter Road and you can see Twistex turn onto it before them, before the group realizes it is approaching them and does a u-turn. If they had waited even 30 more seconds to do the u-turn, it is likely they would’ve died as well, being behind the Twistex team and forced to go down Reuter Road as the tornado bore down on them.
@trithedoge82058 ай бұрын
To elaborate a bit more, the footage was uploaded by Randy Walton and is a fairly unknown video, around 10 minutes long. In the video you can see a glimpse of Twistex’s white Chevy Cobalt turning onto Reuter Road, with Randy’s group being around 20 seconds behind them.
@trithedoge82058 ай бұрын
Also, they started out in likely the worst possible spot they could be out of bad luck, however they made all the right decisions and barely got out alive. There were three decisions they made that saved their life, not going on Reno Road, going away from Reuter Road, and idling on the highway with the tornado crossing in front of them later. If they had made one of these decisions they likely would’ve died.

I live where the quad mutant tornado hit back in like 2021 (the mayfield tornado), and ever since 2020 it feels like tornados happen 10x more, literally every spring throughout summer its just nonstop tornado sirens, and big storms, but it use to never be this bad, it just keeps getting worse, it feels like tornado alley moved to us these days
@boanoah6362 Жыл бұрын
It's quite literally global warming, tornados are a product of heat which is why they happen almost exclusively in summer, they'll just keep happening and getting worse.
@dslkjvoxicuyhgl4554 Жыл бұрын
Remember when everyone ridiculed people for bringing up "the myth of climate change and global warming", to the point that people were encouraged to laugh them off their soapbox? This is a direct consequence of that. I've noticed it too. I work in a tiny trailer and endure 90 mph gusts, with lightning storms that flash lighting 4 times per second. Regularly. The amazon rainforest has been on fire for 5 decades, is at about 17% destroyed, and is nearly at the point if no return, which will make this look like an appetizer.
@dslkjvoxicuyhgl4554 Жыл бұрын
And no one cares. No one even seems to KNOW anymore, to be ABLE to care, especially the new generations, who have never even heard of any of this, and are too young to percieve how insanely fast such drastic changes in our world are occuring. It's just normal to them, they assume the planet works correctly and always has, that puny humans can't really have an effect on it. We haven't even started to try to fix it, and the point of no return is near.
@dslkjvoxicuyhgl4554 Жыл бұрын
What's our priority instead? Let's enter the hydrogen age, point thermonuclear devices at eachother, and set up a multinational policy that demands that, should anything considered threatening enough yo someone take place, even a complete false alarm, even one simple, totally unrelated human mistake, then we are allowed to fire our entire nuclear arsenal at that disturbance, which automatically triggers a thermonuclear response barrage across our entire nation and, in effect, the enture globe, ultimately wiping our entire civilization that our species built over millenia, from the face of the planet. We have gone fucking crazy. And if we don't change ourselves, individually, collectively, bad weather is just the prologue of the next act.

I can definitely see how it would be satisfying to find out the origins or find the lost media you barely remember. The other day I found a VHS tape I used to watch when I was 2-3yo uploaded on KZbin. I've looked for the video a few times before, but had no luck, until I stumbled upon it only to find out it was uploaded five months ago. It was really cool looking at the footage of something I used to watch all the time but only remember a few snippets from.

The city I live in, Topeka KS, was hit by an F5 (enhanced scale wasn’t used yet) in 1966. There’s been documentaries and I’m reading a book called And Hell Followed With It by Bonar Menninger that’s about it. I even live roughly 5 min from the base of the mound it came up and over. Tornadoes are wild man. Also the armored chase vehicles, you should see Reed Timmer’s from the day (just don’t get into an argument about Sean Casey)

15:39 I’m surprised they sent the twistex team out in a Chevy cobalt to begin with. They’re pretty lightweight, not to mention they were recalled in 2010 for the steering wheel going out. In 2009 My mom and I where actually caught in a tornado in a Chevy cobalt. Our steering wheel went out while we were in it. Thankfully neither of us were hurt, but our car was totaled.
