Great list. The only one I would change is the Bears; instead of the penalties stat, I think it's more embarrassing that they don't have a single 4,000 yard passer in the 16=game era, and that they didn't have a QB throw for 30 TDs from 1978 through 2010.

Did you notice when he was talking about the Bucs that our Vikings have the 7th best regular season winning percentage in NFL history? Every other team in the top 18 has won a Super Bowl or NFL Championship. The 19th team is the Panthers who have a 0.496 winning percentage entering 2021. It's absolutely absurd how often the Vikings choke. They are the most cursed team.

At least you had a ring. The 2000s+ had only a few teams in the AFC make it. The Patriots won 9 championships, Peyton won 2 with Denver and 2 with Indianapolis, the Steelers (Big Ben), Ravens, and Chiefs (Mahomes) won 2 each. The Raiders randomly got one. So slightly less than half of the conference even got a whiff of a chance of success for 21 years. On the NFC side, 75% of the teams have won the championship. The four losers? Detroit, Washington, and Dallas have all failed repeatedly. Only the Vikings have gotten close behind Favre and getting stolen by Foles (much like the Eagles got stolen by the 09 Cardinals)

In 1944, the Pittsburg Steelers and the Chicago Cardinals, experiencing player shortages, merged into one team, known officially as "Card-Pitt". Fans called them "Carpet", because everyone walked all over them, and they went 0-10. The records of that team are considered by the NFL to belong to a unique franchise, and are not ascribed to either the Cardinals or the Steelers. Thus the Cardinals losing streak in the 1940's is officially recognized as 19 games, not 29, making the Buccaneers' losing streak of 26 games (all 14 games in 1976 and the first 12 games of 1977) the NFL record for most consecutive losses. Some interesting side notes (because I'm bored and love NFL history): The year before the Card-Pitt merger, the Steelers and the Philadelphia Eagles conducted a similar merger, known officially as "Phil-Pitt", but lovingly called the "Steagles" by fans. That team posted a 5-4-1 record, falling short of a division title by just one game. The Buccaneers' losing streak is unmatched, but the 19 losses in a row suffered by the Cardinals has been done by two other franchises. The Raiders in the early 1960's, and the hapless Detroit Lions of 2007-2009. Two other franchises, however, have suffered longer streaks without attaining victory. The Washington Redskins went 23 games without winning from 1960-1961, losing 20 and tying 3. And in the early days of the league, a team known as the Rochester Jeffersons managed a record of 0-21-2 over a 4 season span before folding partway through the 1925 campaign.

Personally as a Steelers fan I'd have put hiring Walt Kiesling to coach the Steelers three times as their worst record. Three times, same guy, same sub par record and same nightmarish management style that drove off players like mad. Man imploded the team each time he held the job. Cut local college football star Johnny Unitas because "he'd never be a professional quarterback" as well as driving off several other future Hall of Fame players from the Steelers in the 1940s and 1950s. Without him the Steelers likely would have been a good team in the 1950s.

As for the Jets, fewest rushing TDs in a season is bad, but my personal favorite is longest punt in NFL history. 98 yards by Steve O'Neal in 1969. That is the perfect record for a team like the Jets. Also, bonus points for it being an unbreakable record. J!E!T!S! Just End The Suffering

I was too young to really remember the 2005 Saints team. I remember being in Katrina thinking the world was ending. Little did I know that to our west was getting completely destroyed. (I am in coastal Alabama btw). I do remember my dad saying that the Saints may leave New Orleans forever. The 2005 team went 3-13 and without a home field. Then everything changed in 2006, we were suddenly winning big games. I don't remember much from the Saints "homecoming" vs the Falcons 2006, but I remember it was so loud that my ears were ringing for hours. I remember at one point the entire stadium ROARED and cheered (Steve Gleason punt block.) I wish I could've remembered more, that game was historic.
