My tip and advice to you is to keep creating. When I opened my store 25 years ago, I did not have a budget to buy any merchandise. I was constantly looking for things that were free or extremely affordable that I could transform. year after year of doing this so I could pay the rent, was a big motivating factor and that’s why it comes more naturally to me now. It’s not talent. It’s a muscle that you exercise. You cannot go to the gym and start lifting heavy weights. You have to start somewhere and build up. You have just as much talent as I do, God made us all, incredibly unique and we can do so much more than we think we can❤

Thank you for the encouragement. I appreciate that! I will say that I have enough mediocre skills to be able to "replicate" someone else's idea reasonably well, but to imagine it on my own -- nope! As such, I've always admired artists and creatives! I live in a small coastal town in So. California, but about 300 miles north of you, and I hope to one day visit your store. 💜 💜 💜

Usually any new idea comes from being inspired or replicating something else that we see. The wreath was inspired by a project that Ginny did she put that transfer on a dark fence board and I noticed how the colors looked very Christmasy if I had never seen that I would not have had the idea to make the wreath. We need to try and replicate things we see in order to learn when you do that. Try to put your own spin on it and those creative muscles will grow.

Creative question for you😊 Do you cook, or bake? Sometimes God gave us other creative outlets. Never think you are not creative enough to imagine something new. I was like that, and sometimes it's a trading thing, we are told what we are good at, so we lean to that, never questioning, then when we feel some creative stirrings, we doubt first, then we find Debi and others to help us be retold what we're good at. You can create anything, and it will be beautiful. Just remember, happy accidents can be beautiful too.🥰 xoxo
