@@gregturner2668 Yup! I shot snow skiing for 20 years. Fuji Velvia 50 and Provia 100 almost exclusively. How times have changed! My latest Canon handles 5000 ISO acceptably!

Yeah see that's the problem with fad boy types like this. Nobody buys this stuff for "muh colors" to make poorly framed daytime hipster shots. They were originally and still are used by lowlight photographers. Capturing baseball and football action in stadium, concerts, nighttime cityscapes, and photojournalists in adverse lighting environments with fast lenses. I used it regularly for hockey and baseball 10 years ago with Canon 200mm f2.0 and 70-200 f2.8 at press conference events.

$70 rolls of 1600 ISO film should have been used in low light settings or very fast moving objects to understand the reason the film is rated at 1600. Outdoors with the sun up around 4 - 5 pm in the late afternoon would have been the time to to use 100 ISO film stock. JS

@@atalante1319 The higher ISO Number on film is made for low light situations and/or fast moving subjects. The trade off is the higher ISO Number the more grain on the negative. In digital terms. it's more noise. Any photography terms you're not familiar with, remember Google is your friend. Good Luck, Photography is a great hobby. Once you learn enough you could even make some money doing it.

I really enjoyed this video and seeing the collaboration between the two of you. I remember occasionally shooting Natura 1600 when it was still in production but never really cared for shadow rendering and grain. It does have good color saturation though. You guys have a great street vibe going and I could feel that late afternoon LA sun. I live in Japan and can occasionally score those rare films for cheap since they tend to be expired. Thanks for the video and always look forward to more.

I made a similar observation many years ago when shooting with the friend. Same trip, same spots, same scenes but we each saw something different. It was fun to compare shoots later and realize many times we were standing in nearly the same spot, but looked different directions and captured totally different scenes, never seeing what the other did. BTW, at 6:42 love that you captured the front of the 1996 Buick Roadmaster, aka Road Monster, I still miss mine
