I feel like every PRS looks exactly the same to me personally. :/ I kinda wished they had gone crazy with a highly figured koa top, gold hardware, and more cool things, but it seems like the usual PRS to me sadly. The typical flame maple top with a sort of washy colour/burst. Sorry, not wanting to be offending, but this is just kinda boring for 30 grand. At least they've made some spectacular inlay. That's what I like a lot about Fender's Artisan series. They actually have some very different tops and hardware that you wouldn't be able to get elsewhere. (for example the artisan teles often have an RSD bridge, which looks slightly cooler and isn't available anywhere except if you buy custom shop). And some cool bindings, tops etc as well. But I do believe that quality-wise it's just a top notch guitar, and it's the top notch of every single piece of hardware and craftmanship etc. It's just kinda boring.

I was in a guitar shop recently and tried lots of very expensive guitars and weirdly, the PRS ones didn't really give me anything. Don't get me wrong, they're great sounding, versatile, well made and beautiful guitars, but they're maybe too perfect. In trying (and succeeding) to get every detail right, they fail to obtain a personality (for me at least). They're great tools and I'd be genuinely very happy to own one, but I'd never buy one. I just can't fall in love with them like I can with a Fender, Charvel or even Epiphone. Maybe Paul should try making a guitar with untested hardware and just leaving it the way it is, unpolished, imperfect.

41C68 I’m not telling myself anything I want to hear. I have no intention of buying this guitar. I think the inlay is gaudy, I think PRS guitars are largely exercises in manufacturing perfection but soulless instruments. However, objectively, from listings and sales of previous PRS Dragon guitars they at worst hold their value from the outset (bearing in mind that none of them have yet reached your 50 year age criterion) and usually appreciate. The point here is that they are made in such small numbers that you don’t need many people at all to desperately want one for them to appreciate in value... it’s the economics of supply and demand.

I'd definitely busk with that guitar.

Sorry, I'm just not into dragons. Not really into incredibly overpriced guitars in general, regardless of the fretboards. No disrespect intended toward Mr. Smith or anyone else involved. =))

Who buys these? Even if I had wealth beyond the dreams of a priest, I wouldn't. Anyways, I could listen to these two shuffle all night long. When this virus has been vanquished and you can, please God, open the shop again, you two have GOT to do a gig to celebrate 😃
