The track sounds like it needs a softer kick to me but to each his own.

Yes, these are useful tips but that s not everything. Looks like you haven't got the "thing" yet like.. many of us. 😣 Afterwards the volume balance on KZbin of your song did not seem correct to me so it is difficult to give a 100% opinion. Personally, I'm going to continue trying the superposition of kicks ( and percus ) to find the solution (I'm going to try Slap by Yum, there's a new one from cableguys too) I know that for Daft punk it was their method which with the means at the time sounded good .

Any tips for dawless? Since jamming on hardware is limiting. I use an eq pedal just for kick. Upping or downing lows and/or highs helping abit

I do a hybrid approach. Lots of hardware but all recorded into a DAW. If you get the sounds right, they often don't need much EQing in my experience.

Yes that's right. It's the low latency wireless model which is great for wandering around a home studio without tripping on the wire!

you seem lost in your multiple options...

Yes! Very easy to do. I have since made a decision (I stick with the original kick!) and the track "Unspoken" is released on Nov 15.
