I was lucky enough to work behind the scenes with the grnd tour in B.C , we outfitted a few vehicles as part of the ground crew, and we outfitted a por( vw) vehicle with some tires. The camera angles and other equipment blew my mind. So cool you guys got to get back after it on a build.

We saw their other car shooting a commercial on the million dollar highway in Colorado a couple years ago, I turned around to go back and ask them what it even was! The people were really nice and to took a couple min to answer questions. Love seeing this video!!

I was surprised to see what a popular platform the cayenne is for a camera crane car. There has to be at least a dozen of them running around the country considering his many different ones show up on shows I’ve worked on. Cool to see you guys did the work on one of them!!

Wow I have seen this vehicle in action. I think I would have added a small tube cage so the mounts land on the cage for extra support and as it will be so heavy safety for the operators.

The high speed stuff usually runs a shorter setup, the longer setup is for more dynamic shots that a camera jib cant get.

Haha Hollywood types like to see the comfort. Seats 5 and can keep up with target. Trucks tend to have a lot of body roll and not much for comfort, but he doers have an f150 that has been used.

Why why why??? I love you Chris and beck but I wish people would leave camera car work to the professionals. That crane is a toy a prosumer crane anyone cane buy. There are multiple crane companies out there that do the big movies and tv and commercials. This company and crane is NOT one of them. Google camera cars and you will find the top 3. Pursuit systems, Edge and Padelford camera cars. Everything else is junk. I have worked in the industry for 16 years on some of the biggest movies. Please Chris stick to Jeep’s and cool stuff. And why the heck would you mount the crane so far forward? It limits your ability to boom up high because the bucket will hit your frame or car. Plus puts to much weight on the front end and causes the car to under steer in fast corners. Also the newer gen cayenne you can’t trail break without the motor going into limp mode. Ugh
