just a quick clarification of a very normal missconception, Sukuna isnt a curse and was never a curse, he is a sorcerer/curse user

FINALLY someone who understand the placement of the op on yuji's breakdown😭❤ I saw a lot of people complaining about it but me personally, the placement of the op fits the naration sooo much bc just as you said, the whole arc is taking the villain's side, so just like that one time when yuji asked sukuna for help when mahito killed junpei, and sukuna refused and even laughed at him, this very scene is that exact same but just intensified... Singing you're my special when the main character having the most absolute despair, signaling of how evil and vile the villain side is Im subscribing ❤

A breakdown for Sukuna's Curse Technique. Sukuna ability allows him to launch a series of invisible slashes within an unspecified range. He has two types of slashes: Dismantle targets things without cursed energy. Cleave targets with cursed energy. To anyone else these attacks are invisible until they land but Makora (Mahoraga, official translation) adapted to it by literally being able to see it. His Domain is a barrierless domain meaning instead of trapping an opponent(s) inside a separate space, it greatly expands the range of the user's Technique. Sukuna's domain, Moleveant Shrine (Not kitchen) increases the max range of his slashes(plus a binding vow that makes it reach even further in exchange for a path to escape) to 200 meters.

There were quite a few mistranslations in this. I guess they used a machine translation and didn't proofread afterwards, because they also disregarded the official names for several things. Makora = Mahoraga Dissect = Dismantle Fillet = Cleave Kitchen = Shrine

No its not,this is more the accurate one. Makora is the correct translation,mahoraga is just a mistranslation.You clearly can hear what megumi and narrator says. Also malevolent kitchen is more accurate one,malevolent shrine is the kanji reading.

@@chapri_from_chapra5443The Mahoraga (Sanskrit: महोरग) are a race of deities in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. Like the nāga, they are often depicted as anthropomorphic beings with serpentine bodies from the waist down. However, their appearance can differ depending on artistic tradition, sometimes having serpent heads with humanoid bodies. The Japanese word for Mahoraga is makora The correct translation will be Mahoraga

ok but there's no translation error if they literally say Makora. Isn't Mahoraga Sanskrit or something while Makora relates to Makora from Buddhism... JJK has like plenty of Buddhism related things, even Makora, one of the 12 Heavenly/Divine Generals From an anime standpoint, doesn't help they used Shrine and stuff in S1 and manga also doing so for a long time to where many stuck with Mahoraga then changed it to the more fitting terms in S2 as these ones do fit Sukuna more. Mahoraga, Shrine and Dismantle all sound cool but technically speaking, they don't 100% fit Sukuna's legends and character

@@Sirin-Herrscher-of-Void Buddhism used Sanskrit and pali languages for its texts so Mahoraga is more accurate, makora is the Japanese word for Mahoraga so Mahoraga is the correct translation and it sounds better

ok so for some clarification, the Curses name is Mahoraga, and Sukuna used Malevolent Shrine again. it was a typo. Now for the OP kicking in when Itadori is going through it, that was Sukuna Taunting him, "You are my special."

The most intense episode indeed. On Haruta's CT, 1st one was gone when Nobara dropped the ceiling on him, and as the show tells you, the remaining ones were used from Nanami's rampaging interrogation. Makora/Mahoraga is JJK's Doomsday from the DC Comics.. And Malevolent Shrine (Sukuna's DE) is created for very high genocidal counts against everything, including non-sorcerers.

Here is some info on domains from season 1 A domain is a complicated Barrie technique in which you create a barrier and Imbue it with your cursed technique, so the sure hit effect of a domain comes from the barrier and if the barrier is destroyed, dominated or dispelled the domain is gone, the domain targets anyone inside it with cursed energy, it's generally small like 10-20m from the outside but can be bigger from inside like dagons domain now what sukuna did was to manifest his domain into reality without a barrier which allows people to escape but the range increases so much that they won't be able to escape, and it targets everything inside regardless the amount of cursed energy with cleave and dismantle. Sukuna really has highest level understanding of jujutsu and curses, fitting for his title.

My understanding is that malevolent kitchen is an alternative translation of shrine. The word can either mean shrine, or a kind of kitchen carbonate.

not a mistranslation so much that it has more than 1 meaning. Sukuna's domain in japanese can be translated in english as malevolent shrine or malevolent kitchen. Its the same thing either way. For english folks, just pick whichever you prefer but in the end, its the same thing

For people saying makora is the correct translation Here you go - The Mahoraga (Sanskrit: महोरग) are a race of deities in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. Like the nāga, they are often depicted as anthropomorphic beings with serpentine bodies from the waist down. However, their appearance can differ depending on artistic tradition, sometimes having serpent heads with humanoid bodies. The Japanese word for Mahoraga is makora The correct translation will be Mahoraga Just like how Japanese word for japan is nippon, the correct translation for Nippon is japan and for makora is mahoraga

As a native speaker of Japanese, I can say with some confidence that, even in English, Makora is preferable to Mahoraga. Using Mahoraga instead of Makora can be argued to be highly misleading and potentially offensive to some Hindus, Buddhists and Jains. For one thing, Makora and Mahoraga are different. Akutami Gege uses the name Makora (魔虚羅), whose full name is Yatsuka-no-tsurugi Kaishinshō Makora (八握剣異戒神将魔虚羅). Yatsuka-no-tsurugi is a legendary sword mentioned in Sendai Kuji Hongi, once erroneously believed to have been one of the oldest historical texts of Japanese history and is in no way related to any of the three Asian religions. Mahoraga, on the other hand, is a kind of deity in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainaism. In Japanese Buddhism, it is known as Magoraga (摩睺羅伽), not Makora. So, Makora is a creature partially based on the Buddhist/Hindu/Jaina deity Mahoraga that uses a (faux) Japanese legendary historical weapon. Identifying Makora as Mahoraga is therefore misleading and should be avoided.

Just to be clear for some mistranslated stuff The Netflix subs are more accurate Makora is actually Mahoraga Malevolent kitchen is Malevolent shrine Fillet is cleave Dissect is dismantle I don't know why the translator trolled here 😂😂 And Mahoraga being pronounced as makora is a Japanese thingy It's like how some subs may translate lord sukuna to sukuna sama, the correct translation will be lord sukuna, Mahoraga is the original Sanskrit word for the shikigami

@@SillyStuff1508No its not. Makora is the right one,you can clearly hear that megumi and narrator says makora. @@ikhlasulamal8067 my brother the one spreading misinformation is you Just because Japan is called Nippon by Japanese people doesn't mean Nippon is a correct translation, it's Japan, like wise Makora is the Japanese word for Mahoraga, don't be so ignorant, Mahoraga is not a jjk thing, its a race of nagas in Hindu mythology, and has been called Mahoraga for eons,
@ikhlasulamal8067
@ikhlasulamal8067 Жыл бұрын
@@SillyStuff1508 Makora is the name in japanese that called mahoraga you are correct. But makora is more accurate.the reason why viz choose mahoraga is because they want to make the mythological connection.makora is a short for makoraga that read as mahoraga in sanskrit and makora is missing one last kanji 伽 (pronounced as ‘ga’ or ‘ka’) that can used in religious contect because its missing because makorahas *NO* relation to buddha. So makora reference mahoraga but this is not mahoraga because this is not related to buddha. So makora≠makoraga/mahoraga
