I leave the 'snap to grid' on and use the 'shift key' to disable 'snapping'. This enables very quick editing.

Why didn't I know this? I used to cut the track, then move, cross-fade, and sometimes the result was so bad, I chose to re-track. This will save some time, it's so simple!

I want to migrate to S1 but I don't know if the quality of elastic is equal to or better than that of Logic, LUNA for example. I saw many reports of crashes on the Mac as well and that discourages investing, although we know that there are many good features, but after the M1 chip, it seems to me that there has been a drop in the quality of software delivery

Help me out here. I want to simply automate the pitch of an audio sample. In Cubase, you could just rightclick the volume line of the sample and choose pitch shift to draw the line. I can't imagine Studio One doesn't have a similar function...please help me out :(

Whoa! I thought you had to show the bend markers to do that. Also, I expected the the entire waveform to move when you moved the transient on the left but the first edit you did just stayed put! I thought you had to put an anchor in between to other parts don't move in front or behind the part you are editing.

It stops the move at the next bend markers. The first one had no other markers, so everything moved. It can be fun when you only have one part to edit but you forget to set some bend markers before and after the part you want to adjust, and now only one part is on time. I do that a lot. I never noticed the show bend markers thing before... I am going to try that out.

that doesnt work for me ive done everything that u show on the video but when i go to drag it it just highlights theres no little pen marker appearing on mine like it is on yours it just doesnt work for me!!!

Is this feature available in Artist edition or Pro only? My demo period is over and in Prime this feature is unavailable. On Presonus web page I can see a table "compare versions" where "Advanced audio editing" is checked under each version, Prime too, so this is counterinformative. In the detailed PDF document you can read "Realtime audio time-stretching, resampling, and normalization" with checks under each version, which is not true (or something different). No other information about audio bending/stretching/warping/whatever... Thanks!

That is for scrubbing through the waveform. What Gregor describes here, warps the audio in time. Totally different.

Whenever I have tried using bend markers to stretch or compress audio my edits are removed when I Render or Bounce the wave file. Can anyone tell me why this happens? I have "Don't Follow" selected in the tempo setting.

I don't know if it applies to your situation, but I've found that Melodyne overrules edits like the audio bend tools in Studio One. So if I make timing edits (and possibly gain envelop adjustments, though I haven't confirmed that one yet), I have to bounce it first if I've been using Melodyne.

@@sirtarin Thankyou for your reply, I believe I have tried everything, tons of research and experiments. I have come to the conclusion it just doesn't work and it is too concerning that when you export to mixdown nothing that you have moved will line up with the rest of your tracks. Will just use the slower but more reliable method of splitting moving and stretching.
