I love looking at someone's wrist and guessing what watch they are wearing. One time, I recognized a woman wearing a Cartier. She told me that she inherited it from her mother. I just love that she shared that with me. And it looked lovely on her. Class on Class.

Tank XL is a fantastic watch. In addition to the iconic Tank design,…you are getting an automatic movement, a second hand and a date complication.

The Cartier TL is the ultimate high-low watch. You wear it with dressy clothes and it gets lost... but if you wear it with casual clothes... it immediately elevates your whole look.

First off, thanks again for another great video. I've been a watch enthusiast for over 20 years, and for the first 15 years didn't pay much attention to Cartier. But almost five years ago, I bought a Santos medium and Cartier quickly became my favorite brand, adding several pieces quickly. Last year, I bought this model, the Tank Louis wgta0011, and what a watch. I think this is a watch that you have to wear to understand. What a classy and elegant watch, it really makes me feel like a million dollars wearing it. I think anyone who appreciates elegance, will appreciate this watch.

got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on MAMACOO 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.

Great video! Thanks! While getting older, I moved from collecting sports and complicated watches to simple but elegant watches. I love the Tank LC and have collected two pieces with exotic dial, and I will continue to collect whenever I come across with them.

I wish Cartier would resume offering the traditional yellow gold tank with a black band. You can get one like that, but only with a quartz movement.
@cdaackАй бұрын
IMO I think the Tank is the best watch to make quartz. You get the same design and materials as old school Cartier in a more accurate, easily serviced movement. And without a seconds hand, you don’t even know it’s a quartz by looking at it!
@LanguagesWithAndrewАй бұрын
@@cdaack The problem is that you're paying mechanical watch prices for a quartz, that's my issue with it. They want US$11,500 for that thing (the large model), that's a complete ripoff, it should be half the price or less.
@cdaackАй бұрын
@@LanguagesWithAndrew oh for real? $11.5K? Nah that is a rip. It would need to be $6,000 or less for me to consider it worth it. Bet you could find it for that used.
@KabobHopeАй бұрын
Like most luxury offerings it's massively overpriced, esp for such a simple watch. There is a reason there are so many homages.

Mineral glass is not a weakness. When the Manufacture was completed, Cartier set up a workshop to make mineral glass. This was originally intended to restore older models. However, without this workshop, the complex windshield of the Crash could not have been reproduced. The presence of this workshop may have influenced the Tank as well.

Hey TEDDY, I’m not sure if you actually read these comments or not……. but have you ever made a video about which watch colors go best with different clothing? For example, does having a blue or green dial matter depending on the shirt color you’re wearing, or does it need to match with something else to make it work? I know most of your videos focus on the details and features of watches themselves, which I absolutely love. But have you ever thought about creating a video on how to combine watch colors with clothing? Does it matter?!??? Just a thought. -Thanks from a big fan

I have a question about the number showing the four o’clock on the dial. The Roman letter for 4 is IV. The dial shows 4 lines: IIII. Is this a mistake, or they have used this to make it different from the 6’o clock that is VI? For the 9 and 11 they are correct, respectively IX and XI.
