Magnificent old tree. I’ve seen other species that may have branches root over time, oaks, willows. I’ve never seen a Chestnut do this. ~ You might enjoy a playlist I collated titled The Trees and Forest #2. It covers old trees and the trees of Great Britain. It’s available on my homepage.

Damn, I just planted one of these in an area that's not too big. I think I just remove it now, as I had no idea they get so huge

Oh yes, they do get very big and are quite quick growing!
