Hi, I was looking for the same answer and found this video which I may find helpful. Just had my hair transplant and I am going through the same pain but on donor area, not the recipient one. After researching, I figured out that this is a nerve damage whilst surgery which is they don’t tell us. Probably, the nerve gets a cut during the incision process of donor area.

I think mine was an ingrown hair, but yours could be nerve damage.

Hi, you have to go through the severe pain specially when they inject Anastasia into your head during the surgery and then it gets numb. Post surgery is painful too as nerves gets damaged. But, they get healed.

I am post three week hair transplant and i have recepeint area quite sensitive , there are small pimple near my hairline doctor has recomended anitibiotic ointment and medicine , you really described my feeling like its nothing in there but its sore and painful in recepient area but then after one or two days pimple is there too.

I am not a physician but it may be a minor infection due to the ingrown hair(s) which is affecting your lymph nodes on that side. If it doesnt clear up perhaps a visit or a call to your doctor would be prudent. Best of luck to you.

Hey @getlocklab, did the shoulder and throat pain go away by itself? Did you take some sort of medication? It's 2 months post op for me, and been having the shoulder and throat pain on my left side for 2 days now

It's been 3 years post hair transplant for me but My skin is sensitive around transplanted area whenever I touch it I have tingly feeling small amount of pain is always there... Can you tell me if I could treat this?

I don't think there's much treatment for that unfortunately. It shouldn't be that way though. Your surgeon likely wasn't that good...

By the way I asked it on your last video did you consider using fue to cover your fut scar at all? And in general from your knowledge how successful is that and actually covering up the scar for those that desire it I'm thinking about fut for my next procedure next month more for donor management but I'll be honest the fut scar thing even though it's exaggerated worries me

If you have a really well done FUT and you take it easy after the surgery you shouldn’t have much of a scar. My problem is that I had a surgeon take way too much tissue and act irresponsible in the way he did surgery on me so I have an unusually large scar.

Hey I have a question. I had two hair transplants for 4k grafts in total. Was going great for 6 years until last year I had a massive hairloss where I think finasteride lost its affect. I’ve jumped to dutasteride and it seems to have stopped my hairloss after 8m in and have started taking oral minoxidil but I’ve reached a stage where I feel I won’t have any new regrowth although hairloss has completely stopped. I’m curious if this means I can’t do anymore hair transplants? I don’t know what other options I have. I am using lllt for last 2 years. So daily finasteride , once a week dut and daily oral minox at 1.25mg (2.5months in).

If you've stopped your hair loss and you still have more donor hair, then you can have more hair transplants done, and they should be successful if you go to a good surgeon.

@@GetLocklab thanks it’s very discouraging to continue losing hair despite being on these hair stabilizing drugs. But yes I have stopped it I believe. Part of me wants to wait for a year to see if it doesn’t get worst then schedule it haha

Dont forget theres 12 cranial nerves that travel out of the skull in different places and they control things like breathing, heartrate, eyesight,& swallowing and more. It is possible to have nerve damage i would think or there nerves be affected at a minimum. Some people stay numb after transplants for years
