@@Hadar1991 It depends on who you ask how long Argentina has been in crisis, for example, Javier Milei, the current president, always says that Argentina has been in decline for 20 years. This is because Milei is a libertarian and clearly does not agree with the left-wing politics that governed Argentina for so many years. From my personal point of view, in my 20 years of existence, Argentina became a hell in which we got used to living it. Like in the rest of the world, presidential candidates are always the same and the difference is that they promise different things, Milei was not voted mainly for his ideology or for his plans for Argentina but because we wanted those who are from the left-wing political party to stop being in the government, basically every election in my country is choosing the least bad of all

@@Hadar1991 And regarding how Milei's government is currently going, although I stopped paying attention to what they have done lately, from what I saw it is improving little by little. The first months were hard and they still are due to the economic plan to reduce public spending, adjustments, etc., otherwise the country would have gone into default. In diplomatic relations, Argentina was previously isolated from the world, Milei was able to change that and more and more countries trust our country more. The biggest obstacle I have seen in the current government is the political opposition, Milei's political party in the legislative branch tried for months to implement a law but it was rejected many times because Milei has a minority in legislative representation, and the political opposition has a majority. And as if they were mocking us, the national senators and deputies raised their salaries when 50% of the country is in poverty.

Yes, but the land was first held by the Dutch (ok the very first were the Portuguese but you get the point), then the Anglos kept it, which is why the British South African colonial flag has the old Dutch flag’s Colors.

France could invade Europe because their hard-counter (England) isn't on the continent. England had the power to invade most Europe, except it happened that France is their closest neighbor on the continent, preventing the English to invade. So instead they invaded Ireland and the rest of the world (India, Africa...) which was an easier task. Understandable. Basically, if England and France were united, they probably had both maritime and land superiority, therefore able to colonize around the globe and their continent as well.

Napoleon could have invaded Britain, despite having a smaller fleet, but he was always busy fighting elsewhere. And England, despite having the largest navy, could have never invaded Europe, as each continental power had a way bigger army than GB.

The issue that Napoleon has with England is mostly England is crazy rich. It was the China of Industrial era: the Workshop of the World. Therefore unlimited money to fund every coalitions. The continental system is basically an embargo on England, in hope to bankrupt them, and therefore peace at last. Yeah, until the 5th coalition, France were the victim, not the aggressor. Basically, all wars that Napoleon declared was about making sure every counties are doing the embargo. Portugal refused and trade with England, therefore Napoleon attacked them, alongside Spain. Then Russia, which lead to its doom (to be honest, Napoleon should have known that his lightning warfare couldn't work on Russia who doesn't care about the survival of its population, up to burn everything). The biggest mistake France has made was to backstab Spain. It lead ultimately to its doom. He traded an unreliable ally to a paralyzed puppet state. Which lead to the independence of South America and basically the bankruptcy of the country. To be fair, the only European country that should have a grudge against France is Spain.

For the Deep South in the first map : I think the language is Swahili, maybe it's the large Black population th t wants to learn it, because even though they don't know where their ancestors came from in Africa, Swahili is an important language for a large part of the contient, so, since they dont feel like they belong in America anymore since the United States have disappeared, they might want to opt for migrating to Africa, Liberia-like.

I noticed Portugal became the "Kingdom of Lusitania" in the alt.Brit-Napoleon map. Portugal's name and mainland borders have been the same for almost a millennium. And they are besties with the UK (in fact that got them into trouble during the actual continental blockade of our time line). If anything, Portugal would come out stronger in this alt universe. Maybe controlling Morocco. Many people fantasize of Iberian Union, but neither country have any ambitions of that (there was the personal union of the crowns in 1580-1640, but not a de jure merge of the countries). However Portugal tried to carry on with their side of the Recomquista into northern Africa (that's how the 1580 Union came to be, the king died there without heir). So in the alt universe, with the backing of the UK, Portugal would be the colonizer of modern day Morocco (instead of Spain and later France). Just my 2 cents.
