Harold would genuinely be a kind of fun antagonist for an arc of Guardians of the Galaxy run. Like they leave Earths orbit, and suddenly something slams into the ship. They investigate and find a partially frozen viking, parodying when The Avengers find Cap, and then an even crazier "Jackal's Son" rampages through the ship but gets taken out in some way, shape, or form. The crazy part is that somehow, this book wasn’t the tipping point for the Superhero Registration Act that inevitably led to Civil War. As horrific as the events in this book were, the Avengers, the Pentagon. The White House or even the State Department didn’t even care. Also there are moments in this book that remind me of that sequence in Superman II where General Zod, Ursa and Non reach earth and especially Metropolis, and despite the face that they are literally standing in the heart of a major metropolitan city, they are so strong that they don’t regard any of it. Especially its citizens.

When you summarized it, it just sounds like Iron man - extremis, a few years after. Iron man gets messed up, than gets the same powerup, and then punches the guy enough to get him off the story. The only thing that made extremis popular was the aftermath, and I myself like the commentary, the weird mushroom guy talking about visionaries, and tech. That commentary gets more and more true. The story is the same
