What I love about this guy’s videos, is that he doesn’t waist any time in bullshit talk, as 99.9% of youtube videos do. This guy values your time. Every single word that comes out of his mouth is USEFUL INFORMATION. And everyone of his videos is a wealth of information and knowledge on the subject he’s presenting. To me, he’s one of the smartest people on youtube, because he talks about what he knows or has researched thoroughly. Pick any span of 2 minutes in any of his videos, and there is more information there than in any group of 5 videos found randomly on youtube and put together.

If I had to go to photography or video school again, I want this guy as a teacher. No BS, just teaching you the tools of your trade. I remember ages ago while in film school, I would take a class (90 minutes!!) and I’ll came out confused and needed to go practice for hours to see if I could make sense of anything the teacher had said. Compare that with 20 min watching Mark’s videos. You understand absolutely everything (because he goes out of his way to SHOW you what he means), and in only 20 min you walk out with a whole new set of tools, ideas, info, knowledge, etc.

Yeah, a more Californian approach. Not many details that get people distracted from the fundamentals, you know, the type of detail that could only be interesting for a geek/specialist not the average aficionado.

Thank you I appreciate the kind words. I teach photography here in Ohio. I tell the students there's always a different way to do something depending on what your end goal is so I have a tendency to think outside the box. I will share your link or website here about godox lights. There are about a half a dozen of us in my photo club that either Used godox lights or have recently switched to godox lights. thank you

I have been using this flash for years now and its a workhorse and built like a tank! I also have two Godox 860II, the AD 200, and the AD600 but I find myself "always" grabbing my AD360 for every shoot .. the wind has blown this thing down countless times and it always comes up working ... once it even came apart after being slammed to the sidewalk by a gust of wind .. I picked up all the pieces, took it home, taped and glued everything back together and its working like a charm ... Love this flash!
@milesian1
@milesian1 2 жыл бұрын
That's funny. The same thing happened to me. I was shooting a running race at night and using two AD360s and one of the stands fell over, splitting the flash unit down the seam. I popped it back together and it still works. However, the one that DIDN"T fall over just simply stopped working, ironically, and Godox wants me to send it back to China for service so I have just kept its corpse around so far. Living in Asia, I was an early adapter of the AD360 and Godox gear from 2011-12. Now the whole world gets to enjoy this fantastic system of flashes from this company.

thanks for this-- I bought an 860II earlier this year---Love it--but yeah,, it can get over-powered by open sunlight--(very good for twilight /cloudy day)-- We rented 2 360s for a car shoot and they did the trick famously.. Great info-- This continues to be the most tragically under-used photo channel on KZbin...Appreciate all you do!!

It's my highest power flash for the past 3 years. I sold my AD 600, which was overkill, top-heavy on a stand, and had battery maintenance issues. I have family members hold a flash pole with this and a small soft box, since the main weight is over their shoulder with the long-lasting battery pack. The only downside I hear mentioned is the fact that it's two pieces and has a cord. In truth, that's one of its greatest advantages. Not the cord, but the weight distribution. Much more powerful in actual use than the AD200, and nearly the same as an AD400. The price is also great. I have no need for anything stronger, and love this light!
