Thank you for sharing this buddy. I'm 49 years old and just starting to get into this kind of training. I have a good foundation as I have 30 years weight training/body building / powerlifting. And 15 years of yoga. So I foresee myself being able to achieve the planche, the front lever and the handstand relatively pretty fast. It's only been a week and I'm already progressing very well and I have to say my core is stronger than it's ever been. I've always had strong rectus abdominis and I've always had a very well defined visible six pack but my transverse a Dominus was my weak point which is now becoming my strong point. And I love this because even at rest my abdominal region is tight

It is hard. I was 5 months in and had a consistent straddle performance, but 2 months got wasted on an injury (months 5-7). And now 9 months in and I am touching the full planche. But if I had taken the planche seriously, then I could have done my 3 seconds of full planche now. I just unlocked it by actually ignoring direct training and just do hspu and 90 degree pushups, and on May 31 (2 months of no planche) I tried my planche and got a straight result , but it made my left forearm hurt. But I wish you much progress in the coming years.

What I've learned in this video is that it's okay to have bad forms because if you're perfectionist you will get stuck because you dont have the strength to hold the perfect form. So first is its okay to have bad form that you can improve it to perfect form later. I came to realize also that before I got the perfect form push ups I also suffer from having a bad form of it for weeks and then I came to do the perfect form right now as if it was nothing. Thank you for sharing this bro❤

Some people get it way quicker than others. I've been doing calisthenics for a little over a year (even tho I stopped for like 4 months bc I decided to go to the gym instead) and right now I can do front lever, back lever, ofc muscle ups, handstand push ups and so on (the "basic" stuff). I've never seriously trained planche until a month ago, just did some planche leans at the end of my trainings (3 to 5 trainings/week). When I started I could hold a high tuck planche for about 12 seconds, after a month training (1 to 2 planche focussed trainings/week) I can do advanced tuck planche for about 10 seconds and bend arms full planche also for about 10 seconds. I feel like I'm progressing very fast and I hope I'll continue like that. Anyway, good luck on your planche journey !

@streetworkoutengineer97054 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yess sometimes I used it as support mainly for high intensity training. Another benefit of it is to protect your wrist especially in the beginning phase where wrist strength is still weak.
