No, my most regrettable thing I've done was utterly failing here. My first playthrough was as the dark urge, and at this point I failed to either kill or save Isobel. Instead she got kidnapped. I got none of the rewards, and all of the down sides. All of the tieflings died to the shadow curse. Jaheira died in the fight afterwards. And I got yelled at by my butler. It was the most heart wrenching defeat I've had in this game.

I like Lae’zel and Astarion’s responses best here. Everyone (besides Minthara of course) falls under this category of “miffed and scolding, apparently shaken by your actions but not enough that they do anything about it.” Astarion and Lae’zel’s responses make sense with the characterization we get of them and the actions they take immediately after. They’re not upset enough that they’re going to leave or attack you, but they do think you’re a bit stupid for killing the cleric, which is a fair conclusion for them to come to given their worldview

My first DURGE playthrough, I didn't go to last light inn. I met Isobel after freeing Dame Aylin. After they came to camp, I used banish on Aylin and killed Isobel before she came back. From then on, there was a dead Isobel body in every camp laying next to Aylin and she never acknowledged it. 😆

No regrets for my Lloth-sworn Drow Shadow Monk Durge, she revelled in it (and killing the pixie and convincing Shadowheart to kill Nightsong). I actually don't recall my companions being disappointed. Just entered Act 3 on that playthrough and still not tried out the reward yet... might just save it for a special encounter as I've heard it isn't that great, but for that encounter... totally worth it.

The interactions with the companions were after the tieflings got eaten by the shadows and attacked, however interactions with Jaheira were before i killed them, just make sure to kill Isobel as requested by your butler in your dark urge and all of this will unfold 🤌

Can someone explain Shadowhearths reaction please? I am doing a (non Durge) evil playthrough currently in act 3 with now "evil" Shadowhearth. Even in act 2 whenever I killed someone she never disproved. I mean in the end, without going into any detail spoilerwise, I let the whole inn die with my actions and everyone was totally fine. Why is she so pissed in that video? I dont get it. Feels like a totally different character to the one I had with me two acts

To be fair - if you kill the refugees, then Shadowheart is really consumed by guilt at the goblin celebration. She gets drunk, so she doesn't have to face the consequences of her actions and her guilt - its even more clear when you use your illithid powers on her and read her mind. Her behaviour during tiefling celebration and the goblin celebration is vastly different. During the first, she's happy, enjoying the party and surprised that deep down she cared about the tieflings. During the latter, she's drinking to forget, to silence her conscience. She tells you that all is good, because she serves the Lady of Loss, but her behaviour (and what you read from her mind) just tells you the opposite - that she's ridden with guilt. It's true that she didn't object to killing them, but it's because she tries so hard to see hereself as a perfect Sharran but in truth - she's a terrible Sharran, because throught her journey, she shows that she does care about life, relationships etc. - and how she acts during both celebrations is a proof of that. As to why she has issues with killing a Selunite - because, even in her fanaticism, she recognizes that Isobel protected the Inn from chaos, and without her this place falls apart. It's not even about Isobel as a person, but that this action was clear lunacy that put everyone in danger. In addition, she's mad because she sees that Durge cannot control themselves, so she starts to see them as a liability. If she can't trust a supposed leader of the group, then she starts to fear what comes next. If Durge is a rabid dog, then the whole team's mission is put at risk.

I had played this section last night - only I failed at saving Isobel and had to slaughter the remaining harpers/villagers (including Dammon - the one guy who could help Karlach with her infernal engine; at least she got a tune up before he died). Jaheria, thankfully, does not hate me and has agreed to join me when we face off with the leader of Moonrise Towers. My only concern is for Karlach and the tiefling children that were kidnapped - poor souls. :(

If you let Markus kill and take Isobel, then you kill her yourself during battle with Ketherik, you will get the Slayer form and no one will judge you.
