This tip is the best one you have ever put up mark, was struggling with driver a bit lately, adopted today in a medal comp and hit the best drives of my life straight and long and also had a brilliant score 👏

Reminds me a lot of what I see Xander do off the tee. Another great explanation Mark! Body is an engine and all that…

The club face control drills have helped me hugely. I'm a fast swinger so slightly open face with everything else being perfect = slice. It's also stopped the duck hooks. Hit 100 balls at the range. Zero hooks, 2 or 3 open face slices and majority down a fairway channel. It's also allowed me to commit to the swing and am hitting it further than ever. Just need to take it to the course.

Thanks for this. I note that while think of not cocking your left wrist (I think the term is ulnar deviation), simply due to the momentum at the top of your backswing you do create that wrist cock, or ulnar deviation. But in the correct amount, not exaggerated as might be the case if you consciously started to cock the left wrist early in the backswing. Very useful, will try this at the practice bay.

My swing thought is now stiff wrists. Works a treat. I’m just working on tip 2 now.

Thanks Mark, the videos on removing wrist extension have been just what I needed, been kidding myself for years I had a full turn! One question, what else would change in your swing to bring you back up from 110mph to your maximum speed, please? Thank you

We have to get rid of the wrist angle without flipping?

Boy i have fought my driver lately ....example Saturday was striking every club in my bag very well ....but could not get off the t box with driver ....topped all but 2 tee shots ....which is very strange for me usually driver is one of my best clubs ....not long by no means 250 most drives ....and rarely every score higher than 85 ...usually rite around 80 ...but for some reason last few times i have played i just cant hit my driver ....hopefully its just in my head ...going to go to driving range this week try and sort it out but honestly clueless to why ....like i said played irons and hybrid very well idk hopefully will figure it out

My coach is telling me to maintain the wrist angle (slightly strong left hand grip) from start to top and then start to flatten in downswing to keep the club square. Is that the optimal way or to start that flattening immediately like you seem to be?
@KennyGrinols Жыл бұрын
The sooner you do it, the more reliable it is, because the downswing is a fraction of a second, and trying to time it in that .01 and repeat it consistently is not going to be easy. Whereas if you do it early you can focus at a slower rate, focus on the wrist positions on the way up, then entirely on your hips and arms on the way down, knowing the club face is already square. Just my .02
@seantaylor3244 Жыл бұрын
Yea, I agree with Kenny. It's one more swing thought you don't need.

A cupped wrist makes it look like a massive overswing and the main cause!! Adds about 3' to the swing.

OK, so after thinking I fixed my horrendous banana slice once before, I have now started to shout "FOUR RIGHT!" on the driving range again, to warn those on the 9th adjacent hole. But, I will preserve and attempt this next time I'm there, but to be clear, I should not do what feels like a full swing?? And focus in keeping the lead wrist flat??.....please let this work 😂

When you showing extending left wrist at your back swing I think you cupping your wrist you should look up JChownGolf I rated him to be the best golf coach on line. I like to explain more about his teaching maybe in another comments.
