Your channel has exploded because you are such a genuine bloke, no pretentions. I'm sure that's why you won the festival, despite the resources of other competitors. Sure, you've amped up the quality since the early days - I have never seen anyone have a camera on a topwater lure during the cast and landing. Awesome! But the true soul of your channel hasn't changed, Rod. Thanks for taking us on your journeys - hope you can do another trip to NZ/Aotearoa soon.

When they talk about building a life you don't need a vacation from, they were talking about Rodney. You're my friday dinner view, and I'm never disappointed. Great work.

The catch at the end had it all! Close enough to see the actual hit, almost got sharked, the stoke of securing the fish, drone shot while in the rock pool, the underwater view of the release, and on the homemade chair lure from the recycling centre to boot. Yeeeeew!

I got a tip about anchoring which might be interesting. After setting the anchor, use a second line to lower a weight hanging under the main anchor line about half way down between the boat and the anchor. This weight will also act as a shock absorber, the boat will have to lift the weight before the anchor rope is fully tensioned. The second benefit is the anchor line is kept at a much lower angle and hopefully less likely to unset. I am going to try it out by using a set of dive belt weights tied together.
@T4AbyssАй бұрын
Or maybe he should think about using more anchor chain, as that will keep the anchor down and act as the weight you talk of!

Rob I'm so impressed with what you have to share with us all. I was a mad fisherman,fishing always come before anything in my life. Ive fished from Jervis bay all the way up to Karumba. But my disability has brought all that to a stop so I'm always looking for an alternative or just something to fill that gap. In your channel I believe I have found that and I have watched most of your feeds from the last year or so. I thank you for all you share and hope you understand just how much quality feeds like yours can mean to people. Keep up the great content mate and thank you for sharing I'm one person who will always appreciate your videos. 😀👍

The quality of your adventures is amazing. The 360 cam stuff, the drone shots, underwater footage, multi-camera angles…. I really feel like i’m there with you, sharing the experiences. i prefer the one on one feeling i get when it just you talking to me and to all your friends all over the world.
