The victims were eaten alive! "Bones were bludgeoned by a small spike" implies that it was chewed (the teeth is the small spike) and the "soaked in HCL" means the demon was trying to eat them because stomach acid is also made from HCl. On the dev translation the demon mentioned that she gained power. This is probably why after 1980 no bodies were found. The demon is able to eat them entirely now and not leave bones out like before. Conrad is lucky he doesnt get eaten because the demon only eat female victim to make her more beautiful.

The Rusalka is a creature that appears most often in Slavic mythology. Here it basically means a Lake Nymph. Its usually potrayed as a beautiful lady dancing in a forest clearing or in the middle of a bigger water body, attacking anything that disturbs her dance (atleast here in Poland)

Yup, all people had to do was goggle the the name. It's from Slavic mythology, and even the clothes it wears are slavic style clothing from around the medieval era. Wouldn't be surprised if its speaking in a slavic language.

For those interested in Rusalki: The origin of Rusalka as it’s known today, was probably in the 19th century. They appear in a lot of Slavic folk stories, and each region has its own version, so I’m going to feature only some of them. Generally, it’s believed that Rusalki are the souls of young women who were drowned, died near waters or drowned themselves due to an unhappy marriage and would come back to haunt the water they died in. One interpretation is also that they first turned into a Navka and if weren’t rescued in seven years, then would become a Rusalka. However Navkas are also said to be girls who betrayed their lover, so it’s really complicated. There’s a wide variety of descriptions regarding their appearance as well. They were either beautiful with long red, fair or brown hair (whose combing could cause a flood), or green, hideous and hairy. In Czech and Polish culture, their appearance would change depending on the environment they lived in. Her main purpose is to lure young men into the water and drown them. In order to do so she would sing and display her beauty, the moment her victim was in the water, she would entangle him with her hair and drown him. Once a year, in June, was what’s called Green week or Rusalka week, where they would come out of the waters to dance and play in the night.

The original stories of the Rusalka from Slavic paganism actually painted them as more benevolent fertility spirits that were not necessarily tied to water. The 19th century version probably came from popular literature. Specifically from a short story with the titular creature by a Ukrainian writer in the early 1800's.

14:43 is where I'm paused as of writing this, what you were talking about is the Merfolk Sirens, one in history that people had made to separate them and mermaids. In proper mythology, Sirens were never actually merfolk, but rather the head of a woman and the body of a large bird. Merfolk themselves are the dangers of the sea! While the Skyrens, I'm calling them this for the time being, are the dangers with singing, and luring people to their death, merfolk are known to hate human kind because of the fact they pollute the seas and oceans, often attacking when feeling threatened, with their weapons being made of: shark teeth, fish bones, coral,and sea urchin quills! Both are beautiful but dangerous. If this is a TL;DR kind of thing, here's a summary, Sirens are not the same as Merfolk, as their original selves are half woman half bird, merfolk are half human half fish. Sirens still lure in people with their songs, but merfolk dwell in the oceans.

I was also hoping for a battlefield map. One where a skirmish that took place during the civil war happened. With a small group of residual soldiers still shooting rifles. Also perhaps a headless horseman type of ghost 👻.

The lipstick killer is also the character in Jörg Buttgereit's movie Schramm. Its a good movie with some beautiful camera work, but I would not recommended it to those who don't like horror/gore.

I'm at 11:49 and I'm sure this is going to be a futakuchi-onna now. Japanese demon. A lady is cursed with a mouth on the back of her head (Like in one of the clues) and the mouth is endlessly hungry. Usually because she couldn't or wouldn't feed her child. Especially if it's because of favoritism towards another child. 19:51 now. That reminds me that the demon if it gets hungry enough can start using the hair of the woman as limbs, which it looks like it's doing here. Not too sure about the russian thing. Could be a russian variant of the same type of spirit, but could also be a mix from the developer? 30:19 gave me a better look at it and that mouth is way too huge to be straight up futakuchi-onna. Though I do think it's worth looking into it if it's a mix. Maybe not if this is an exact depiction another kind of demon. This one is so interesting

My favorite thing with Rhonda is that SHE's the one that turns the crucifix in the Jefferson house. I was initially kind of shrugging at that since the upside cross thing is a pop culture thing, and in fact refers to how one of the apostles died since he told his executioners he didn't deserve to die the same way as Christ and so they crucified him upside down. So as much as it is pop culture for the demon to turn over the cross. That's not really backed by research. But a scared teenager girl's ghost trying to warn people in the house? Yeah, it makes a lot of sense she'd be the one twisting the crucifix. And once you release her, that event stops happening.

I was wondering what elemental demon we would see here, and i was unsure when i saw the thumbnail... But it actually makes sense now, a "siren" water element demon makes perfect sense for this scenario. An additional thing to bear in mind as well; demons are experts at deception/shapeshifting, that is their purpose after all.

technically sirens aren't demons but a separate creature and elementals are considered an entirely different entity that isn't a demon but still just as dangerous if not more dangerous cause they are said to be very old and powerful and yes demons are very good at manipulating the living into doing all sorts of horrible things

If no-one in your community is able to translate the demons' Latin statements, it could be possible to organise a collab with a content creator that can speak Latin. There are probably more, but the only one I know of is Metatron, a history KZbinr who is a linguist by specialty. I have no idea if he'd be up for it, or if organising the collab would be worth the effort, but just thought I'd throw the idea out there. At least we got some phrases of the new demon translated by the dev.

As someone with rusty Latin, I think it’s Latin? Or at least a verry close Latin based language. (Also props to the dev because if it is Latin it is using the correct sentence structure. That tends to be most commonly messed up with Latin done by people who don’t know the language,(that and pronouciation).

35:33 im pretty sure the reason everyone is arguing about what language it is is becuase nobody is actually wrong. I sat here listening closely and i feel like i detect multiple languages. Theres a couple latin based ones, i hear some spanish, some portuguese, some latin, and at the very beggining i swear to fuck i can make out just a little bit of Icelandic/ Norwegian, not sure which. Doesnt necesarrily sound like any words either, all of it sounds like gibberish, just the base phonetic sounds you would expect of those languages. the Feta (sveta or something like that maybe in the beginning) the very nasaly enyey sound being made in the middle, almost like part of the word nino, the way she hits her r's sounds like old latin. In all likely hood its just jibberish with lots of effects, and when played like that it has shared similarities with many languages, which fools alot of us into thinking we heard something we didnt. our brains tend to fill in those gaps when things are uncannily close but not all the way perfect.

I called it from the start 😂 demon and possession although it seems to run much deeper than I thought. that laughing evidence makes me think the entity is male and female or the male voice is the killer while the female is the demon which means they are still attached even after the killers death. The only thing that confuses me is the makeup aspect unless the demon prefers female victims??
