Steph is a top 10 player of all time, fully based upon pure skill. LaMelo has good skills but his size and athleticism are most of his game. He might make a few All Star games but he will never be on even Jason Kidd's tier.

Not only that, but if you take a look at their personal histories you find out that they had very rudimentary workouts they’d do as kids that cause an unnecessary amount of strain on your body. Things like running up/down hills with weights. That stuff kills your joints. Couple that with the amount of mileage from playing basketball ever since they were kids and it’s no wonder they’re having lower body issues.

He's had the injury since his rookie year. He missed the start of his first season with the Lakers getting cortizone injections in his knee. IDK if I've ever heard of a player under 30 getting a cortizone injection. His time with the Lakers had multiple games missed due to his knee injury. I hope that he looks into stem cell treatment. Joe Rogan had it done on his shoulder and it completely fixed it. I am not a DR, but at this point Lonzo should consider any option.

I don't wanna criticize Lavar. I think he's a great dad despite his flaws. That being said, I think something with the way they trained growing up could be to blame. I saw a research somewhere that says injuries have been more common because players have been demanding all of their body from early ages. If that's true, I can't help but imagine the Ball Brothers where some of who demanded the most. It's a shame, really and I hope that they can bounce back. As natural as it may be, it's hard to see someone "fail" cause they worked too hard
@glitterboyxx

i was gonna comment something similar because this is becoming an issue among european footballers as well. like you said the age at which they start AAU/travel is becoming younger and younger; and the training is becoming more demanding. so by the time they leave college they’ve basically had an NBA career before they even enter the league.

Dylandoesbasketball made a whole video about this exactly in relation to Lonzo and Lavar. Was Lavar a loving dad? Yes. Should he have slowly ramped up his kids athletic training and weight lifting alongside trained coaches and professionals instead of trying to do it all and take the credit? Yes again. The AAU schedule is brutal and picking just one sport to wear down your body instead of several to balance your growth and reduce injury due to repetition. But recording his kids working out with poor form for hours and even on Christmas without strength or conditioning coaches is just asking for trouble.

Well, no, if one of them injures shoulder and one injures foot, it might be unfortunate, both Ball brothers got lower body injurys, there's obviously a common factor, it's most likely due to the fact they train on cement floor a lot during youth. This subject got bring up a lot back about the time Lonzo was to get drafted, and now, it's almost a sure conclusion.

How about DiAngelo? Was hoping to ride his bro's fame like Gannis'. He is the most unfortunate 😂

LiAngelo at least has the excuse of chronic ankle injuries. Giannis' brother is just bad.

I think Lava Ball's way of training may be responsible for his kids' recurrent injuries

Lavar is a great dad but he fucked up everywhere else, shoes don’t have ankle support for basketball shoes😂, their deadlift form is terrible too I seen those vids and the prices are just like why?

The body isn't really able to heal a meniscus injury, that's why they now grow it in a lab for you and you get a transplant. Sadly, it does not only take 6 weeks to fully recover from. There are minor tears that don't do much damage and then there's Lonzos long abuse from his shoes makes a lot of sense.

Interesting trivia: American based players usually have significantly weaker ankles than Europeans, because in America you walk a lot more with your shoes on, even inside. Most Europeans never wear shoes inside, so their ankles are stronger naturally, when there is no support from the shoes.

And this is not a shade on Americans, just a peculiar funfact, how some common behaviors can affect other things.

or the bulls are paying the price of their two 3-peats. they never had a great point guard back then either. When D. Rose got drafted he automatically became the best PG the franchise ever had, and that includes Jay Williams.
