Besides Hannah? No no no, he never cared about Hannah’s feelings or wellbeing either. Luke P was always 100% all about what Luke P feels and wants. He _acted_ like he cared about Hannah, and he _said_ he cared about Hannah, but none of his actions _showed_ he cared about Hannah. In fact, if he cared about Hannah he would’ve respected the process and the other men because that’s what Hannah would want. If he cared about Hannah she wouldn’t have been brought to tears by what the other men say. Hannah doesn’t want a guy who goes around disrespecting everyone, that didn’t make her feel good and it didn’t make her well. He claimed to act on behalf of her happiness, but failed to realize how unhappy he was making her because the reality is he was only focused on his own happiness and just assumed that he WAS Hannah’s happiness, and his happiness WAS Hannah’s happiness. I’m not sure about the Bachelorette, but I did notice in the fine print during the credit sequence of project runway it said “judging decisions are made by the judges in consultation with the producers,” implying that the producers have the final decision power in who stays and who goes. That doesn’t mean The Bachelorette contract is structured like that, but it’s not unheard of in the reality tv world

I don't think I've felt more overjoyed than Luke trying to intimidate the other 3 contestants as he's done the whole season, only to immediately get shut down with, "Or what? What are you gonna do about it?" and just SEEING his face in PURE FEAR of the 3 taller, objectively stronger guys. He's so scared! It's so nice to see him be put in a position of inferiority that he has targeted towards several of the other contestants throughout the entire season. No book, movie, or show has had a more satisfying ending as this scene alone.

The thing you need to understand about people like Luke is that when they say stuff like "I just want clarity I won't leave unitil you explain to me" they don't want that, don't go explaining what you meant or why you did it because you're just wasting your time. People like that say one thing but what they really mean is "I want you to agree with me and I can stand here all day picking apart everything you say until I exhaust you and you are forced to agree with me"

@swiftsage34569 ай бұрын
It wasn't his revelation that was the problem, it was his timing and the manner in which revealed it, he was already acting shady as a person/character and combining how he was behaving with how and when he revealed his tragic news, it reads more as manipulative vs. honest/open communication
@sholem_bond8 ай бұрын
@swiftsage3456 but it's a reality show, which means stuff like "timing" and how he appeared to be acting beforehand were all created by the editors. They chose to present him that way leading up to his disclosure.
@swiftsage34568 ай бұрын
@@sholem_bond... that doesn't change the point of my comment tho, that him being disabled isn't the problem, his timing is.😐 if the producers did do that then what they did made his revelation seem manipulative vs him having honest and open communication about his disability, which ever way it may be, what was presented to us to consume was him essentially coming off as being manipulative to get pity points, not that his disability is bad in any way or to antagonise him for it (that's the main point of my comment).
@thatgirlinautumn59957 ай бұрын
Yeah I agree. Cam in general got a pretty bad edit for someone who seems like a genuinely decent person, and of course his concerns in that moment were completely valid - including getting booted off for having a disability. The timing might have been awkward, but that doesn’t warrant a full “whacky/funny” edit

The main thing I got from this video are Luke P’s toxic red flags: -Can’t take responsibility and often feels like a victim. -Makes everything about himself to the extent he is so inconsiderate of others he rubs them the wrong way. -Lies, especially with the intent to distant his love interest from others in her life. -Gaslights his love interest that her perception and memory aren’t accurate when it serves him. -Idealizes his love interests and basically mixes fantasy with reality. Acting as if his love interest is already his wife because that’s how he thinks it should be, disregarding the other person’s agency. -Attaches very strongly way too quickly, especially given the context. And rather than recognizing this is unhealthy and leaning out to right himself, leans in. -Makes grand proclamations of love and then says maybe never mind two seconds later. -Is physically violent. -Is incredibly inappropriately possessive and controlling. -Claims to be competitive and likes to be the best. -Creates trauma bond by making love interest feel consistently inexplicably awful around him but then switching to saying how amazing she is, so maybe falling in love is just crying all the time? Hm, did I miss any? Quite likely covert narcissism 🤦♀️. She dodged a huge bullet.
@yerinbaekscandlelight10 ай бұрын
This might fit into the wife one, but the fact he tells her he's uncomfortable when she not even sexually "exposes" herself to other men and how he feels cheated and how he's embarrassed for her to meet his family. This is one of the times that strong Christianity created a narcissistic incel.

The dilemmas she was having being torn between hoping that deep down he’s a good person but also knowing in her heart he isn’t going to change felt exactly like something I had experienced. I was sooo disappointed when Hannah let Luke come back but, unfortunately, I understand how thought process. Being with someone like that alters your brain chemistry. It’s an addiction to someone that doesn’t care for you but you’re too blind to see the truth and instead takes the words being told to you at face value despite the fact it’s so obvious that person is lying. It’s really upsetting they let people like this on the show and allow others (especially Hannah) to be hurt. There should be at least some form of psychological scanning beforehand.
