I decided to jump on the chance to purchase one of these beautiful kits while a few Ebay dealers were selling them at an affordable, discounted price! I have it in my home now, and let me say right in this post: It is the most incredible, commercially produced, well-molded model of Titanic I have seen! I own one of the 1/350 MiniCraft Titanic kits, a 1/400 scale Academy model, as well as their smaller, 1/700 illuminated version... but the defining Trumpeter Titanic is, in my opinion, the ultimate replica available to collectors everywhere! I'm glad I ordered mine early!

Awesome video. I love seeing this kit. Did I hear you correctly at 2:20 that Trumpeter is releasing a second version with no LED's? Any information on this?

Hi yer, I am in the UK and got the Trumpeter 1/200 with lights. There are issues with the LED kit if you want the kit to be authentic. The lights are pretty bright and would need toning down. Also the lights on the funnels were only in the film, the real Titanic did not have lights in that area. To be honest those lights are awful anyway as they are literally just a bulb sitting next to the base of the funnel, really ugly! The PE in the kit is good but there is an additional PE kit with brass propellers and masts coming out next month. In hind site I would wait for the unlit kit although this first version is not that much more expensive to begin with. Hope this helps you a little bit.

The minecraft kit is fantastic! a great option. It really comes down to what you are looking for, the Trumpeter 1/200 scale gives you the WOW factor being so large with all the lights and etch metal parts we well :)

What is the diameter of the propellers that came with the kit?

Yeah i also have 1:400 Titanic,but i got it from Airfix and it looks the same like the Academy Titanic,if not better...I'm building it at the moment.I think that i buy the Trumpeter too,but first i got get the money together...which is a problem.These modells selling like Butter at the moment and soon they will be sold out...I'm sure...And there is also another problem...The come from factorys in china if my imformation is right...So when they sold out,i think we have to wait pretty long until we get new ones because of Viruse...So if anybody reads this and you got the money...buy it now...I wish i could but i can't. However Trumpeter is a nice Firm.Like Tamija they have Top Modells...Anyway nice unboxing video🔝✌😎✌

Did you actually shop around ? I bet you didn't. You could have saved $50.00 because there's one right now for $410.00 including shipping. You can get one a lot cheaper if you don't hit BUY NOW. You have to be patient when buying on E-bay. I just start throwing things in my basket, delete the most expensive ones, and let them sit there forever until I know there's no cheaper kits available. I also put bid items on my watch list if they are undervalued, and keep a close eye to see where the bids are headed.
