@@hootsyoutube Their royally golden hue and opulence of such exotic fruit fit for a king? It was the 1920s. Lemons were exotic fruit from hot, southern, meridians. Also, yellow, like gold. Sort of like how even now one might be excused for thinking that ice cream is made from penguins and penguin products.

Such a cool video, Hoots!! Honestly never even thought about what the tombs looked like as they were originally found so THANK YOU for including the colourised photos with the soft music because wow I was enthralled. Gonna go off and do more research about that now!! But... after I watch every single video of yours because they're even more enthralling ;]

_Stargate_ (the movie, not the various & sundry TV shows) gave me Egyptomania. I may never have watched the Brendan Fraser _Mummy_ films if I hadn't been a _Stargate_ fan first. I still have a strong appreciation for ancient Egyptian culture, and the Giza Pyramid Complex is among the top 4 ancient sites I most want to visit (but likely never will, 'cause capitalism doesn't allow the poors to travel).

Puts a new light on what was going on with Joseph Smith and the Mormons and why he was under such pressure to use his powers of translation on items from a traveling salesman. The people pooled a large amount of their money and bought a papyri and the Book of Abraham was born.

The creation of the Mummy 1999 is itself arguably a result of a smaller 90s bump of Egyptomania partially driven by the 1995 Kent R Weeks excavation of KV5.

I wonder how old a gravesite has to be before robbing it crosses over from being creepy & illegal to an academic exercise (or business venture?) Could I go to a cemetery and start digging as long as I take meticulous notes and try to publish my findings? Do we have to limit ourselves to former Heads of State? I should probably go back to sleep.

They got a god who got a scarab for a head, its just a dung beetle btw. His name was khepri and he was the one who pushed the sun across the sky like a flaming ball of shit. Fuckin sick character design tho, i drew an robot based off the design and hes the horse man of war in my story. The others are a butterfly, a scorpion, and a locust. They try to help humans fix the environment but the humans wanna keep doing capitalism so they end up having to kick humans off the planet temporarily so they can dispose of waste and plant trees n shit then people can come back if they agree to be good
