MVP had a trademark on the name....they HAVE to protect and defend the trademark...They registered the name first with the USPTO and the other disc company never bothered or thought should we do a trademark search for the name in regards to disc golf....

I'm new (only a year in), didn't like the look of MVP discs at first, but they grew on me and I mostly throw MVP family now. but I'm a little perplexed too. It's just a name, and not a great one at that. While I agree they may have a legal right, and it was stupid of ED (also a STUPID name) to use this name without checking for a TM first, pushing around a little company doesn't paint MVP in a positive light. One of my favorite things about Disc Golf is that most people are chill, and it's a relaxing sport. Getting lawyers out kind of goes against that. Just move on and pick a new name.

The number of times you said "crazy"..."insane" is ridiculous. The drama is injected by people on KZbin. It's a common event in the business world to have "naming rights" challenges and nothing else. We in the disc golf community need to dial back the rhetoric a bit, especially if we want to appear to be big boys and go after more non-disc golf sponsors.
