1:38 ish the discussion on Blood Raven and the Ironborn issue in the north...seems to me he's grooming Egg and Dunc to go do the job in the north rather than just ignoring it. To me theres an undertone through all this that Blooraven is training Egg to be the future king as well as firefighting the current issues. Later we see a similar thing with Danny, Jon and FAegon all being groomed and led by people trying to shape and control their ideal future ruler.

It seems cruel but also like it's key to what happened.

just to add a little bit to the house Peake rant, and you may know this, I can't remember if you mentioned it ever in passing or not, so apologies for a likely redundancy but just in case -- they are a rather blatant reference to Gormenghast, which is written by Mervyn Peake, their current lord is called Titus, like the main character of the novels, and here in Dunk & Egg we even have a Gormon Peake. Last castle of the Peakes is Starpike, while Steerpike is another central character in the novel. And a world of ice and fire mentiones a bastard brother of a Lord Peake called Mervyn Flowers. I think its just a fun callout, idk if the book or house Peake contributes much to the understanding of the ASOIAF plot/lore.

Tim comparing Azor Ahai to a Jesus like figure is very interesting. GWT suggested that the last hero legend from the different cultures could represent completely different individuals. I have always thought of Azor Ahai as multiple people and the Jesus comparison supports that theory. There are real world theories that the stories of Jesus Christ are an amalgamation of multiple different prophets working different “miracles” throughout the ancient world. I will have to do more thinking on how multiple Azor Ahai(s?) affects Aegon’s prophecy

Am I the only one who thinks it's strange that the Targaryen sigil seems less apt for their house than the Blackfyre sigil? 'cause a black dragon upon a field of fire seems more representative than the obverse. quite separately: Are the Reynes and Casterlys related? More specifically, are the Reynes a cadet branch of Casterly or vice versa? I just wonder whether Lann the Clever was a Reyne and not a Casterly; was watching one of your videos yesterday, can't remember which, and it made me think. I love these videos but these two guys are so out of sync with each other it makes it kind of brutal to sit and watch them struggle taking turns to read
