When I was about 8, I was playing out in a fallow corn field and I had a magnet with me. I shoved the magnet through the loose dirt to see if I might find a random nail or something, but when the magnet came out of the dirt, it was covered in iron dust. It would be really easy for worms to ingest that and become attracted to a magnet.

It may refer to the idea that charge creates a magnetic field around it (weak but existent). The worms may have some form of charge in them. Idk how, since current flow requires voltage. If anyone has any reasons why this is wrong or why it’s right, pls reply.

Long term history yes, but not enough of modern history. Too many people walking around right now being okay with, or even proud of, not knowing things. Hopefully those people have always been just a part of history we don't remember - until the internet started making everyone permanent parts of history. (If they've always been around, there's hope for progress as progress has always been around. If ignorance is spreading faster than science, that's a problem.)
