I think you’re right, nails using tips should be a bit thicker because some of the thickness is coming from plastic which doesn’t actually offer any support

Im wondering how you keep your beads that dry. I use a nr 8, and no matter how much liquid i take out my brush, or how much acrylic i take on the brush, it stays pretty wet. I tryd everything. I can work with it, but would like to try to work your way.

Keep on practicing with our method. Maybe you should check if your room temperature is too cold.

My nail polish usually makes my nails thicker than i feel they should be, should i make my nail thinner to counteract that? I use polygel

You buff it down slightly but never compromise the thickness and the structure of the nail. Just apply it thin with even coat.
