A nice little detail about the gun the assassin was using. It had a suppressor, even though it was revolver. They do not work on revolvers, because the cylinder is open and the sound of firing the gun cannot be "silenced". These Naked Gun films are so packed full of jokes and humorous details.
@paranoidgenius91642 жыл бұрын
Another mistake I found is where Frank was rubbing the sandpaper on the wheelchair guys naked butt & he screamed, when really, he wouldn't be able to feel anything.
@waterbeauty852 жыл бұрын
Magy's squeaky laugh is adorable. She's much too young to remember the iconic twist ending from the "To Serve Man" episode of "The Twilight Zone," but Lloyd Bochner lampooning his role in that episode by running around clutching a big book screaming "It's a cookbook!" is my favorite joke in this movie.
@adamondracek80982 жыл бұрын
This kind of movies geting older, cause they parody "present" movies and events, that's problem. Younger people can't fully relate to certain jokes and situations in the movie.
@x_trio_3_po3332 жыл бұрын
1991's NG2 target audience was likely baby boomers who grew up in the 50's and 60's like myself and would totally get the cook book reference having also likely seen The Twilight Zone episode in question. But it works especially well when the film makers got the original actor to reprise his part. But yeah, the younger generation will sadly never get one of the best jokes in the movie. However that didn't stop Magy from laughing her head off throughout the film. Something I predict will easily be repeated when she views the 3rd movie, as well as similar ones that Leslie did in the 90's.

The purpose of the Hindenburg and Titanic pictures in the restaurant is to set up the final picture of Michael Dukakis, the Democratic candidate for President of the United States in 1988 (the most recent election when the movie was made), who ran a disastrous campaign. The joke is made again at the end of the movie, when Frank talks about wanting a Democrat worth voting for and the camera cuts to George Bush, who beat Dukakis in that election. Both are moments in the movie that today's younger and non-American viewers (of which you're both) can be forgiven for not fully understanding, so that's the explanation for them.

Frank Drebins entry lines after having riden the tank through the zoo, is the most epic comedy of the movie!!!! "Your coat sir?".... "Yes it is, and I have a receipt to prove it".....and.... "Drebin, do you realize that thanks to you, the city is overrun by baboons?"..... "Well, isn't that the fault of the voters?" 😂😂😂
Commissioner: Because of you this city's being overrun by baboons! Frank: Isn't that the fault of the voters? Me: (watching Magy crack up): Franks kind of an idiot, but he's not wrong there, lol!

At the 17min mark, the killer has a *silencer* on a *revolver.* Silencers go on *pistols* because everything (sound/flash/bullet/etc) comes out the barrel and the silencer muffles it. With a revolver, most of the sound comes out of the sides because of the open cylinders. It doesn't matter if it's a cheap TV show or a high priced movie, that error always makes me shake my head.
