THE NARCISSIST AND SEX discusses how some Narcissists weaponize sex to acquire power and control over their targets. In a toxic relationship with a Narcissist, sexuality can become another dimension of emotional and sometimes physical abuse.
Narcissism is a spectrum so this may manifest in a variety of approaches from manipulative sex during the love bombing phase of the narcissistic abuse cycle to invalidation and withholding during the devaluation phase of the toxic relationship.
We discuss some of the mind games Narcissists play in order to infiltrate their target's psychological defenses as well as how Narcissists systematically break down their targets using coercive and controlling behaviors i.e. intermittent reinforcement.
We talk about sex with the Covert Narcissist (Vulnerable Narcissism) as well as the Overt Narcissist (Grandiose Narcissism). We also venture into the topic of sex with the Malignant or Pathological Narcissist.
