When he was in college he was one of my favorite players. He could do it all. Sometimes you have to feel for these guys with the way family and friends leach off of them. What kind of an adult expects someone else to take care of them? Its disgusting. I've had two close friends who made it to the league years ago. Both had long careers. I never treated either any different and didn't ask either one for even a dime.

Good grades and college don't always mean success. I told my little brother to look into a cyber security certificate while he's still a teen and to forget college. Grades don't determine anything, especially not intelligence. He wanted to play sports, but that's too much pressure for a young man. I understand parents want their kids to succeed, but don't realize what is truly best for them.

1986 NBA Draft: 6'8" 260 pounds = Obese. Falls to 12th in the draft 2019 NBA Draft: 6'6" 285 Pounds = Once in a lifetime talent. Generational cant miss Franchise player. 1st overall pick. In no way shape or form being 2 inches shorter and weigh 25 pounds = obese. Its a shame John Williams didnt attend college in 2018-19, he wouldve been a top 2 picks!

Marq Lock the 1986 NBA Draft was deep wit some potential all-star players, obviously the sadest story being Maryland's Len Bias passing hours after achieving his goal of being drafted by the Boston Celtics, cocaine use ruined a few NBA careers back in the 1980s, Lewis Loyd of the Rockets, Roy Tarpley of the Mavericks, Michael Ray Richardson of the Nets to name a few, it was a messed up situation

& all that happened in 86. Then u had other players like Tarpley, William Bedford & Chris Washburn who all had drug issues. Dennis Rodman speaks for itself. Then u had good solid players in Daughtery, Ron Harper, Chuck Person, Mark Price, Hot Rod, Dell Curry, Johnny Newman, Pearl Washington, Johnny Dawkins, & Kevin Duckworth. Plus it was Dr. J's last season & MJ coming out party. Very interesting season in general

In laws lived near Crenshaw (across the street), I used to frequent Crenshaw and play with Strawberry, Cook, Chris Brown (my favorite ), Braggs and others. Coach Womack (Friend), and Joe Weekly (he didn't like me hanging around, because I was a white guy). Very fond of my days playing there nearly every night of the week,1982-1985 or so. So I also knew this kid then, though the coach's seemed to frown upon him joining us for pick up games.
