When he was in college he was one of my favorite players. He could do it all. Sometimes you have to feel for these guys with the way family and friends leach off of them. In laws lived near Crenshaw (across the street), I used to frequent Crenshaw and play with Strawberry, Cook, Chris Brown (my favorite ), Braggs and others. Coach Womack (Friend), and Joe Weekly (he didn't like me hanging around, because I was a white guy). Very fond of my days playing there nearly every night of the week,1982-1985 or so. So I also knew this kid then, though the coach's seemed to frown upon him joining us for pick up games.
