The weird limitations on the Neo Geo PCM channels weren't specifically decided by SNK btw they're just how the Yamaha 2610 sound chip was designed. It was a "kitchen sink" sound chip that has PCM, 4 operator FM and PSG channels all in one device.

It's really a shame that they made it that expensive only because the Neo Geo stuff is expensive as well. That's intended and something you can also note with other systems like the Amiga. If the base stuff is expensive, add-ons are made very expensive as well. This should be way under 200 bucks - but it's apparently aimed at elite people with big pockets. They missed the opportunity to open Neo Geo games to a wider audience with that premium price.

@@BasementBrothers Maybe you would prefer the synopsis of Strikers 1945 Plus instead? It is winter of 1945 and the Strikers have successfully eliminated C.A.N.Y.'s forces. The fierce fight was considered a militarist coup d'état disapproving the acceptance of the Potsdam Declaration. The threat posed by C.A.N.Y. enshrouded the world in the shadow of war. Meanwhile, data on C.A.N.Y.'s new weapons, tightly sealed by the US Department of Defense was leaked by a new organization, codenamed "F.G.R.", threatening to drag the world into the chaos of war once again with it. Upon learning of the situation, the Strikers, who had been appointed as a new weapons development experimental unit, were convened once again as protectors of the world! It has since received a re-release by Hamster Corporation, a Japanese video game publisher, with office located in Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan, in recent years on digital distribution platforms. Hamster.

Samurai Spirits RPG is available in French. I know two attempts to translate it into English and one into Spanish that went beyond 50% completion, but apparently it's really hard to edit because the way the text is encrypted in the game, and the teams just couldn't keep throwing hours into it. If the game was truly gem it would pay off, but beyond those nice graphics and sound, the game is no Chrono Trigger. The plot doesn't bring anything new to your typical mid 90s JRPG, and the game is quite difficult and grindy. At least the combat system is original so, it well deserves a gameplay for hardcore fans of both JRPGs and Samurai Shodown.
