If you take out all the stuff in Fantasia, you have the story of a boy whose dad has newly remarried and has moved into a new house where the son now has a bratty sibling. On top of that, he has to go through the trouble of attending a new school, including dealing with bullies, all while some supernatural shit is going on and he and his bratty sister have to put aside their differences to work together to stop the evil force. What I'm trying to say is this is not so much a Neverending Story sequel as it is an episode of Goosebumps.

The Never Ending Story III is one of the worst movies I have ever seen, even if you had no idea what it was about and never saw the first two, this movie would be pretty bad. But as a fan of the first one and finding the 2nd one passable with some redeeming qualities, this movie is a strait up slap in the face. This movie falls into the category "they did everything wrong they could possibly get wrong". The casting was wrong, the music was wrong, the acting was wrong, the story was wrong, the pacing was wrong, the props are wrong, the effects are wrong, the entire movie is just...wrong. I have to wonder if they intentially made this awful simply to kill the franchise forever, there obviously was no effort what so ever to make anything reeming or memorable, it was a pure cash grab to the lowest common denominator and it shows in almost every seen.
