It is a bummer they are getting rid of the 6 speed and k20c2. The reason they are is because they are no longer going to have the k20c2. It is being replaced by the 2 L from the the hybrid. Yes, the hybrid engine will be the engine for the low trims too. Just without the electrification. So cvt only. Rip K20c2. Rip 6 speed. The si will continue to be the only manual 1.5t. they will be keeping it. It will likely be gone next gen though. That's okay. The 1.5 isn't exactly that reliable. So I see why they are doing this. Yeah, the big bummer is the 6 speed gone from the lower sport trim. Old reliable port injection k20 rip. If I didn't want the hybrid so bad I would definitely be getting that.

It’s 2024: let’s put an incandescent bulb in the liftgate. A filament bulb in the part of the hatch that gets slammed down. Why not all led??

Setting aside features and brand biases, it will be interesting to know how much of a value-for-money proposition this will be against the Toyota Prius for people who are more interested in miles per DOLLAR rather than miles per gallon. Most people just customarily assume the Prius wins, but it's not a better value if total cost of ownership ends up being thousands less with the Civic Hybrid.

Not to mention the Prius' much smaller interior space.

When it's new gen shows up in 2016 with it's a wider & spacious interior, new attached quality display w CarPlay, soft grip steering handle, completely redesigned back & from. Much spacious & smooth ride plus much high fuel mileage made it to top notch. Lucky i had 1 & still running smooth for 9 years. Saved a lot in Gas & maintenance cost. Better than any cars on its class.

Rather buy used 22'-24' toyota venza. Awd, hybrid with nearly 550mile range, more space, more hp, lexus luxury, at half the cost of this hybrid civic.

Will they give the SI a 2L? And a power boost upto 250/280hp 😅😅 would be nice 👍🏿

What use is the “sportier exterior” if they’re dropping the stick shift option 😞. It’s sad that Nissan Versa is the only manual car you can get sub $30k, and that will likely be discontinued soon too.
