Thanks for taking the time weed through all the new specs for us!! Your time and effort, with all of your content, is much appreciated man!

Well thanks! I'm really glad to hear that!!!

WOW! Stunning video production. I love your little office / studio, as well as your graphics design / drafting background which gives you the knowledge to lay the images over the top of each other. I sold my T7 for the same reasons you did - too heavy for my riding capabilities, height and weight. I'm going to upgrade to a new DR-Z4S as soon as they show up in Washington.
@SwankyCatProductionsКүн бұрын
Thanks, I really appreciate that!!! I'm not sure I'll end up going that route, but the new DRZ, and the old one for that matter have really been calling my name recently. As fun as my new XR is, something even smaller and lighter with the same "woods bike" type feel sounds like a lot more fun!

I love the looks of the T7 and the riding triangle. I would have bought one of these if it had been available, but I got the Africa Twin instead two years ago. I did get to look over the new Himalayan 450. It is a quite comfortable riding position. Good value, though still a little heavy. I am thinking maybe I would just get another DR, a new one, and set it up just the way I want it. The JNS lowering bracket was perfect for me on the DR, I should have done that years ago!! The Acerbis Xgrip frame covers look good also. I kept the stock pegs for now.
@SwankyCatProductions18 күн бұрын
Yeah me too! I didn't think it could get any cooler looking, but it has! I would really like to see the middle thinner, but the thinner side case cover should really improve the already comfortable ride. I would really like to get on an AT some time. I've sworn off the heavier bikes, but maybe when I'm a little older and a little more responsible, I'll be able to own one without trying to take it on single track 🤣. I can't decide if I want to lower my DR pegs yet, I think I probably will. They're just not bothering me like they did on the KLR for some reason. Ride safe my friend!!!

I heard somewhere else that the infamous exhaust bracket has been improved. Loos the same but maybe it is rubber mounted so it flexs rather than bends ?
@SwankyCatProductions16 күн бұрын
Interesting, it did definitely look like it was beefed up a bit!

We want information on the new KLE 500.
@joshdoddadbod17 күн бұрын
It looks very slim so likely a T7 competitor.
@SwankyCatProductions16 күн бұрын
It's currently in process!!!

You missed the wind screen is gonna be a 1 piece instead of 3 piece which i don't like. I would expect that to drive replacement costs up
@SwankyCatProductions16 күн бұрын
Possibly. It will make cleaning the dust of the inside easier though!

I just traded the 2023 DR650 for a 2024 Tenere. The 2025 would be nice, I'm sure, but it's November, and there are a lot of 2024 models sitting on showroom floors. Yamaha is offering a $1,000 rebate right now, and the T7 seems to be discounted at many dealerships. I got quotes from a few regional dealers and a local dealer matched my cheapest offer, plus removed all dealer freight and prep fees for an OTD price of $8,351 (I wanted a gray model and the dealership just had blue, so they bribed me). It's heavier than the DR650, and I am going to have to lower it and bring the bars back a bit, but I already enjoy riding it more than the DR.
@SwankyCatProductions4 күн бұрын
Nice! Yeah, it's good to see the prices have gone down and that you can actually buy one! It's definitely a whole different type of animal than the DR!
@justsomedude44518 күн бұрын
the suspension is easily fixed aftermarket , most guys arent rolling stock suspension anyway , also easy are ergonomic changes luggage added ect but no matter how much $ you throw at it it still only has 70ish hp & a top heavy feel

I need a new ride and was hoping the new t7 would address my issues with the current version. This release pushed me to the Tuareg.

I've actually been wanting to do a history of changes on all the big bore bikes!
@rexparker671617 күн бұрын
if its Ride by Wire , you can add Cruise on it ?
@SwankyCatProductions16 күн бұрын
I believe they could program it into the bikes computer, but I don't believe they did on this version. I'm not sure if it's something that can be added later or not. I've never researched it.
@pauldejohn871018 күн бұрын
Guess I will go to aprilia, the new t7 changes are not enough
@SwankyCatProductions18 күн бұрын
I've always wanted to try one of those out!
@joshdoddadbod18 күн бұрын
No tubeless, no cruise control, tonnes of electronics, uglier and heavier. Yup ill be holding on to my 2021.
@SwankyCatProductions18 күн бұрын
Haha fair enough!!!
@ComfyDadShoes17 күн бұрын
Is the 21 tubeless?
@joshdoddadbod17 күн бұрын
@ComfyDadShoes nope. Tubed. Makes sense since it's an offroad oriented adv bike. But the good thing about tubeless is you can put a tube in of needed so tubeless is still better IMO.

Some manufacturer needs to make comically oversized foot pegs. It would go well with my comically oversized navigation screen. 😂

Haha! Yeah! Some big Harley foot boards!

Yamaha is going to milk the cp2 engine for all it's worth as long as they can. Everyone now has their own offering but they all exist because of the mt07. Yamaha has Definitely gotten their money's worth from that powertrain
@SwankyCatProductions18 күн бұрын
Yeah they have! It's definitely a fun motor, doesn't matter where you're riding!
@christophepoteaux393218 күн бұрын
They announced a low version. Thats welcome
@SwankyCatProductions17 күн бұрын
I'd heard something about that, but didn't see anything on their page?

I believe that model is only available in Europe .
@DB-sd3cw17 күн бұрын
Why does yamaha hate the US and refuse to give us different versions?
@SwankyCatProductions17 күн бұрын
I was thinking about that the other day. My guess is that they either don't have the capacity to manufacture them, or that there's not enough interest to support more than the standard model. Neither seem all that likely but seeing as they've struggled to get even the original model in the US for the past few years, that it has something to do with Capacity.

The what now? Destination changes are listed at $600 on the website I think. However, when I bought mine back in 2020 I paid $750 less than MSRP and didn't have any additional fees. Some dealers do really pack on the fees though.
