This 33 deserves total chassis/ floor respray, in order to save it. I haven't seen one so nice too, especially the area around the heater and battery. I'm not sure how much you've worked on carburators, but here's some tips , that I've learned from working on my 33 with twin Dellorto's: - Remove the top cover and ispect the float chamber for debree and rust from the tank. I couldn't get mine to stay clean, untill I refurbished the tank on the inside. - Idle jets on both Dellorto DHLA and on Weber IDFs like here have a tendency to clog. Pull out the jets with the holder, clean the jets and check if the holes next to the jets on the carb body are clean, by inserting a thin wire. The idle circuit pulls air for the idle jets from these openings. -Check on how many turns the idle adjust screws are. The recommended starting point is 3.5 turns out of seated position for Dellorto and 2.5-3 if I remember correctly for Webers. Still, you'll probably need to loosen them more, as modern fuel seems to have less energy content, and these engines don't want to idle well with stock setting from 30 years ago. On mine I had to upsize my idle jets 3 sizes up, in order to get smooth idle.

I have zero experience on these. They are extremely rare here in Portugal. Electronic injection are the ones that remain! Thanks a ton for your support and information! Screenshot for later!. Thanks for watching

@@alfaromeonoproblem I hope it helps! The general opinion is that the Dellortos are easier to tune, and hold their settings for longer, but they suffer from leaks from the lead plugs, so with the Webers on this car you won't have this issue. Generally it's best to rebuild them, but if the fuel filters were changed frequently , and the tank isn't rusty, they might be fine. The good thing is, that sites like Eurocarb offer almost all spare parts for them, so it's far easier than to rebuild a Jetronik injection.

@@alfaromeonoproblem If it's still so high with headlights and radiator fan running, then yes, it needs adjusting. I like to run them a bit higher than 1000rpm, as these engines need good oil pressure during idle.

May be from another video (this one I will watch latter) but the so called spacer for the fuel pump is bakelite (a particular type of plastic mostly used for electric parts like household switches as it is heat resistant, does not melt etc). Yet, I do not understand why is bakelite because it is supposed to do electrical insulation. But the fixing screws are conductors..

My 33 (Registered first in May 1993) had 42000km when I bought it in 2014, now it has 83000km and is only driven from May to October each year (most annoying thing for longer trips is that it does not have cruise control...)

This is a great find and a nice viseo! Yes - they do exist - the low mileage examples ! I have seen last summer one 30k km 33 imported from Italy. I hope the new owner enjoys this gem! The carb sound is amazing ,too and quite different from mine with IE. How was the gear change after sitting so long?

Hi Bruno. I've been to the Alfa Romeo specialist, fot the noises on my 159 2.2 JTS. I need to replace front wheel bearings, right semi-axle and gearbox seal, back bushings on the lower control arms. Which brands do you recommend for this?

@alfaromeonoproblem The gearbox end of the exle is bad. The teeth at the end of the axle that go in the gearbox are the problem. That is what they said and showed me. I asked, and they said the complete axle. I will see if I can at least get the CV joint on the gearbox side. But they said to get a used axle...

@alfaromeonoproblem I found the repair kit for the gearbox side for 130 Euros. But the brand is Zeta-Erre. Is that any good? Or should I just get a used one?
