Your comparison of Xalt versus poly sounded exactly the way I recently found Wilson Sensation and Ashaway MonoGut ZX Pro 17 ga. Xalt sounds interesting. Question is: will it lock up like syn gut or will it keep snapping back like poly? I tried Head Velocity MLT and it was a disappointment.

Soft poly crosses with syn gut mains.. prince duraflex

@@juju-rt8ek Pros may use this, I don't. Polys lose tension, syn gut does not. Harry has an original Fed racquet with the original nat gut and poly hybrid, it is an inch shorter due to tension loss. I use ful bed poly anyway, the request is for my son (10 yrs old), there will be no poly in his racquet until he breaks a string. But a little spin would bei nice, so a coated multi could be the way to go. If it works.

@@juju-rt8ek Too powerful for me, too harsh for my son. I will try a kinda hybrid when my current string bed is worn. Restring Zero 1.28 Mains, 1.23 crosses (Zero as well). My racquet has a habit of delivering too much power, I am about to tame it.

Xalt is horrible to string. Worst string ever to string. It just slips and i have to squeeze it so hard it damaged the string

Probably good amount of silicone coating which is great!
